2009 Pontiac Solstice GXP Coupe
This is a very rare and soon to be collectible car. This car is number 803 out of about 1260 Solstice coupes built. The coupes were only built in the first half of 2009 before production was shut down due to the demise of the Pontiac brand. This car was built in June of 2009 so it was one of the last ones made. The coupe has a removable hard top or targa top. We do not have the optional cloth top that could be used in place of the hard top.
This car is also a GXP which means that it has a 2.0 L (121.9 cu-in) I4 Ecotec engine equipped with a dual-scroll turbocharger. The engine's output is 260 hp (193 kW) and 260 ft·lbf (353 N·m). This is the highest specific output of any engine in the history of General Motors at 2.1 hp (1.6 kW) per cubic inch, and it is the first gasoline direct injection engine from an American automaker. According to pontiac.com, the GXP goes 0 to 60 mph in under 5.5 seconds. Other GXP features include standard Stabilitrak traction control, a limited-slip differential, and anti-lock brakes. Summer tires on 18 inch wheels are standard.
History
I will tell you everything I know about this car. It was manufactured in June of 2009 and sold to the first owner sometime in October or November of 2009 whereupon he promptly had an accident with it. The accident record shows on Autocheck and Carfax in January of 2010. (I will list the replaced parts below.) According to Carfax the car ran off the road and into some shrubbery with the primary damage to the right front corner and hood. Evidently, something happened that the customer or insurance didn't pay for the repairs. A mechanics lein was filed and the car was sold at an auction by the body shop that did the work. Somehow the bank which held the lein interest in the car bought it back. I bought it from the bank in October of 2010 with about 2,600 miles on the odometer. I purchased it for an older gentleman who had wanted one of these cars since they first came out in 2009. We looked all over the country and settled on this one. He didn't mind the bodywork and accident history. He and I went and picked it up and he has owned it since October of 2010. It has been kept in his garage and has driven it about 4,000 miles since then. The current odometer reading is about 6,900. This gentleman has suffered from some health issues and is having more and more difficulty getting into and out of the car. He thought it was time to trade it on something a little more practical for an older person.
This car has a clear and clean title with no brands or other issues. It was not a salvage vehicle and doesn't not have any salvage or rebuilt history. I have the Autocheck and Carfax reports and they can be emailed if you would like to see for yourself.
Mechanical
Mechanically this car is basically perfect with no issues to report. Of course it is still covered under the remainder of the factory warranty. The bumper to bumper warranty expires in November of 2012 and the powertrain warranty is good until November of 2014 or 100,000 miles. We did have this car serviced at 2700 miles by the local GM dealer and once again in the past couple hundred miles. I have included pictures of the underside of the car as well as some detail on the right front side. As you can see, it is clean and dry with no leaks or rust.
Exterior
This car looks pretty good as you can see in the pictures. Of course since it has been in an accident there have been some repairs. I will list what I know about what has been replaced or repaired. I do not have any details from the shop that did the work but from my observation it appears that the hood, right headlight, right front fender, front bumper cover, inner wheel well liner on right front, right front lower control arm, and right front wheel were replaced along with some small brackets in front of the right front wheel. The intercooler, condensor and radiator might have been replaced but I can't tell for sure. They are all genuine GM parts and everything else on the car is new and clean so it is hard to tell what was replaced and what wasn't. The frame appears to be straight with no welds or kinks. The glass looks to be all original and the airbags did not deploy. The car was repainted and the repaint is not as good as the factory paint would have been. For example there is a small crack in the paint on the front bumper right above the Pontiac emblem. Also my friend got too close to a parking curb somewhere along the way and scratched the bottom of the front bumper. Overall this car looks very nice from a couple feet back, but when you get real close you can tell that it has been repainted if you know what you are looking for. We have discounted the price accordingly.
Interior
The interior of this car is like new with no issues whatsover. It still smells like a new car. Everything works just like it should. We have the owners manuals and floor mats.

That is why we have 30 day temporary tags and registration for you to drive home on. We do not sell any vehicle that we wouldn't drive ourselves. As a matter of fact, we often put a couple hundred miles on the vehicles before we list them. We service and inspect every vehicle in our own shop and then thoroughly detail each vehicle. Every vehicle then passes a rigorous Virginia State Inspection by an independent mechanic. We try to describe the vehicles as completely as possible, however if you have any questions, do not hesitate to call or email us.
Honesty and integrity are very important to us. You are encouraged to come inspect the vehicle in person before the close of the auction, or have an inspection service to do it for you. Please call before you come as we are sometimes out of the office or have the vehicle at a different location. You are welcome to drive the vehicle before you make final payment. If you find that the vehicle is not as it was described in the listing you are entitled to a full refund of any deposit you have paid. This is only available if you come to our location to pick up the vehicle. If you have the vehicle shipped and wish to return it for a refund you will be responsible for the shipping charges both ways. Your trade-ins are welcome as well.
