I am selling my 1989 VW Cabriolet. I've enjoyed this vehicle but I don't have the time to fix the body damage and other issues. Specs: 1989 VW Cabriolet 138,500 5 Speed Black dash, blue seats CLEAN TITLE - Notarized and ready to go. The Good: Neuspeed Sport lowing springs Neuspeed shocks and struts Neuspeed short shift kit New rear brakes New alternator Newer plugs (10k) Newer water pump (10K ago) Both CV axles replaced less than a year ago Wheel bearings replaced All glass is good, including rear convertible window Clutch doesn't slip This car isn't rusted out The Bad: Rear end damage! I got rear ended at at a red light at about 10mph. It damaged the trunk lid and the area around the taillight. Luckily there is no frame damage The soft top is ruined. It will protect you from the rain but as you can see from the pictures it has some serious tears in the rear Dash is in pretty good shape - door cards are OK but have some cracking from the elements Needs tires Needs an alignment (very badly!) Motor mounts are shot Missing the passenger mirror E-brake cable disconnected Steering column bearing is loose Seats have tears in them and are dirty Rear seat is pretty much shot - I have a plaid blanket over it. Heater is missing the plastic adjustment knobs. This hasn't been a problem for me because its stuck on heat and I live in Wyoming! You can turn the heat on and off, just you just can't put it on AC. Passenger door handle doesn't work from the outside This vehicle runs and drives but as you can see needs a lot of work! The engine runs very well and starts every time. It is possible to drive it long distances but I wouldn't recommend it because of the condition of the tires and the alignment. I absolutely loved this car when it was running well. I took many trips with it in the summer! I'm going to miss this car but I want someone to fix it up and get it back to 100%. DELIVERY I will deliver this car any distance.
