1983 Mercedes Benz 380 SL RoadsterUp for auction today is a great little 380 SL. It is an Oregon desert car (yes we have those...) and has ZERO RUST. The car is a medium metallic blue and has gray leather seats. The car runs and drives excellent. The engine has been thoroughly maintained and runs like a watch. No ticking or smoking or leaking of any kind. It is very powerful and pushes this car beyond any speed limit with little effort. The paint is good but not perfect. There is some laquer checking evident on the rear quarters. I was unable to photograph it, but it can be seen with the naked eye. This is not something I thought bad enough to repair but some others might disagree. the interior is nice and complete but again not perfect. The leather has some wear and some cracking but no rips or holes. This a common problem and not something that bothers me on a car of this vintage. The stereo is very nice and includes a 6 disc changer. The soft top is in very good condition. The hard top has a hairline crack in the rear glass but is in perfect condition otherwise. The wheels are all beautiful and the chrome has no flaking. The tires are Pirellis and are almost new. The car was just fully serviced and also recieved new wiper blades and a new battery. The brakes were checked and are at 75%. The car has lived a clean dry life and has not been abused or neglected. It is 100% safe and ready for immideate use.
