Vehicle Detail
This very unique 2006 Mustang Pony convertible is going up for sale. Time for a new project and the 2013 Mustang is on the way so need to clear space. This car has the Xcharger Xtreme supecharger system turning this V6 Mustang into much more than your typical 4.0L V6. (see explorerexpress.com for details). GT rear bumper, dual exhaust with FRPP X pipe to Ford GTA mufflers. Because of the increased horsepower the rear end was changed to the larger 8.8" from the GT with 3.55 gears. The front brakes were changed to the larger GT brake set up, and have slotted/drilled rotors. Stock driveshaft was replaced with a 4" aluminum Shaftmasters; and the LCA and UCA replaced with J&M HotPart products, fixed length LCA and adjustable UCA; with a pair of UMI Performance bolt in relocation brackets. The rear springs are the FRPP springs for a small drop to level out the stance. SLP line lock. The center vent pods were replaced with the Roush gauge pods and hold an AEM wideband AFR and a boost/vacuum gauge. The hood is the CDC/Foose/Parnelli Jones with the white Shelby superstripe painted and the spear remaining black. The CDC shaker scoop is fixed to the hood and open to the engine bay; the idea is that it will allow air to flow over the Xcharger while driving, but when you open the hood there isn't anything trapping heat around the blower. The wheels are 17" black bullitts rather than the stock anthracite that came on the car. The Nitto Motivo tires have about 4,000 miles on them at the time of writing this up. I have a custom fabricated 6 point roll cage that you may notice in the pictures but it is not being sold with the car since I will need it for the new one and it will be removed. The Mustang is up for sale locally so if it sells locally the listing will end. On May-29-12 at 16:00:34 PDT, seller added the following information: I just noticed that ebay came up with a 3.8L for the engine somehow. The engine is the 4.0L V6.
