Vehicle Detail

I'm selling my Porsche 911. It's a manual 5-speed transmission convertible. 101K miles. Great condition!Update: I had this posted 2 weeks ago and took it down because the clutch pedal was sticking at the beginning inch of travel. So, I had the pedal assembly rebuilt and replaced the clutch master and slave cylinders. I'm the third owner. I personally know the second owner. It's had about $15k in service done. Lots of new parts! It's a 964 model of the 911 Carrera 2 from 1993. This is the last year of the 964, so it doesn't have the issues found in the earlier years. This is a fairly rare model. Therefore, the price of this Porsche seems to be increasing as the newer versions with the ugly headlights are depreciating down to nothing. It's a driver's car and gets driven every day. It's not a garage queen. So, there are some cosmetic issues. Mechanically, this Porsche is in incredible shape! I challenge you to compare this engine/drivetrain to another 964 model. No rust anywhere. The title is clean with NO accidents. Though, some bodywork has been done on the car and one side has had a little paint touchup. Here's what has been done recently:NEW clutch master cylinderNEW clutch slave cylinder and hoseNEW bushings in pedal assemblyNEW O2 sensor.NEW brake rotors on all 4 wheels and new brake pads installed.NEW Stainless steel brake lines installed on all 4 wheels.NEW suspension. Shocks and springs (Bilstein and K&N) installed front and rear.NEW front tires with less than 5000 miles on them.NEW rear tires with less than 100 miles on them.NEW front sway bar bushings.NEW rear sway bar bushings.NEW door striker latches. Front brakes professionally rebuilt and painted red to match car.Rear brakes removed, cleaned and painted red to match car.Entire exhaust removed, inspected, cleaned. Bolts replaced with new.Entire intake removed, inspected, cleaned, checked for leaks. Gaskets replaced.Distributor rebuilt. Distributor belt changed. Distributor vent installed.Power steering pump rebuilt. Power steering belt replaced.Secondary blower motor rebuilt.Common engine oil leaks checked. Gaskets replaced.Recent spark plug change.Recent valve adjustment.Recent oil and oil filter change.Fuel injectors removed, cleaned. NEW seals and cap installed. Flow tested.UPGRADES FROM STOCK:Rennline Engine mount brace added. I had this done because it can fail unexpectedly. The brace adds strength to the mount.Polyurethane Front Control Arm Bushings. I had this done to stiffen up the steering slightly for more sporty feel.Things that could be fixed, but not important:A/C. I haven't bothered to check this. It may just need freon.Exterior paint is starting to fade and there are nicks and scratches in the paint. When washed and polished, the car looks great. It's a great car and like I said, it's a driver's car. So, it's not perfect. But, with a little time and effort you can make this timeless classic a real headturner. Let me know if you have any questions. I've got pictures to show all of the work done...Reason for sale: Had a baby recently and I can't fit a baby car seat in here... It's also available locally, so I will remove the listing if the car sells here. If you want to come and test drive it, feel free to contact me.On May-19-12 at 18:00:55 PDT, seller added the following information: The new suspension is the Bilstein HD (heavy duty) and the H & R Red springs. This is a stiffer, more sporty suspension than the OEM. The car was corner balanced and aligned with the new suspension. On May-20-12 at 21:35:47 PDT, seller added the following information: I forgot to mention that the alternator was rebuilt recently in March 2012. Thanks!
