Simple, Classic, and Tough I am proud to offer a rare, beautiful 1986 Toyota 2-Wheel Drive Truck in original condition. This is an excellent example of a vehicle that has been cared for, loved and driven in California all its life. If you have been looking for an 84-88 Toyota Truck with excellent fuel economy, low miles, and in bone stock configuration, look no further, this is the vehicle for you. This vehicle has had only two other owners and appears to have been used exclusively for trips around town, as there are no signs of abuse or aftermarket modifications. This is a stock 2WD truck with a clear title, 22R engine, 5-speed manual transmission, Power Steering, and all of the OEM equipment intact and functional. Owning this truck is as close as you will get to traveling back in time to 1986 and picking one up from the Toyota dealership complete with original blue CA plates! This truck drives and feels like a much newer vehicle. Visually, the truck’s original red paint retains much of its original shine and luster with very minor blemishes to correct as is evident in the photos. All factory installed stripes and decals intact. The truck recently underwent a comprehensive body detail including a $200.00 buff, wax, interior detail and engine steam clean. The truck was delivered with the Deluxe package, which includes upgraded cloth reclining bench seat with folding armrest (original), chrome grille, side mirrors and chrome bumpers. The vehicle offers a standard sized bed perfect for family adventures, camping or work. The truck’s tires are in excellent condition and appear to have about many miles of tread remaining. The cloth interior is in excellent condition and is a tasteful factory brown color with matching vinyl door panels. The headliner is in good condition. There is a small rip on the driver’s side sun visor and a few cracks on the factory dashboard. The truck's bed is in excellent condition and does not appear to have hauled many loads as there are no major paint scratches or dents visible. The undercarriage of this truck is rust free and in excellent condition. The frame is solid and rust-free. The vehicle has factory steel wheels, matching center caps, and factory chrome trim. The rear bumper is missing a cap on the passenger and a small dent on the bottom right of the tailgate. In addition, the tailgate appears to be retaining water either from rain or washing, as rust has developed on the inner lip of the tailgate and worked its way through the bottom left side of the tailgate. Please note that the rest of the body is immaculate and completely rust free. If you must have a perfect truck, I would recommend purchasing a second-hand factory red tailgate available at most wrecking yards. There is NO rust on the body, bed, doors, or other parts of this truck. Factory tool kit, spare tire, and bottle jack and original Toyota Owner’s Manual included with the sale. The previous owner kept a meticulous maintenance log from 68,300 miles to its current mileage and includes belt changes, crankcase, oil/filter, tires, tune-ups, brakes, radiator, clutch master and battery maintenance. Mechanically, the vehicle is in excellent shape and runs like a new vehicle. The 5-Speed transfer case is super tight and shifts smoothly. The vehicle has super low miles and this is evident everywhere on the vehicle. The rubber door seals, engine and all interior switches and moving parts are like new. I’ve kept this vehicle in storage for about a year after I purchased a newer Tacoma and it only been driven an average of 4,500 miles a year! I have driven the vehicle at City and Highway speeds and the truck accelerates and drives very nicely. The truck does not leak oil. No A/C. Clean California title in hand and current non-op registration.
