Vehicle Detail

1948 Dodge Power Wagon Model B-1-PW, 4x4 pickup. Ex-U.S. Forest Service Truck. Good restorable truck. Cab, front fenders, hood, doors and bed sides are in very good used condition. Not rusted out. Equipped with original tailgate that is not rusted, but is dented up. Engine is free (you can turn it over with the fan), but not running. Drive train is complete. Original front winch was missing when I bought it, but a partially complete original winch is included (see photo). No winch drive shaft. Note that the truck is missing the rear fenders and running boards and the front window regulator. This would be an excellent restoration project. No major dents or damage. Front fenders are straight. Obviously missing some odds and ends. Note that the forest service added two chromed hand grabs to the rear of the cab. They also welded tie downs to the bed sides SOLD AS IS. Further specifics and photos will be provided upon request. Please ask any questions before bidding. Not sure of mileage, too difficult to read on the speedometer. This is a restoration project that have never gotten around to, and it is time it went to a new home. SOLD AS IS.On May-20-12 at 10:03:30 PDT, seller added the following information: As stated, the bed sides are in good shape, however the angle that attaches the sides to the bed on the inside are rusted. In fact this is about the worst rust on the truck. The bed (wood) is in poor condition. The frame does NOT have any rust holes. The frame has not been spliced or welded on. The frame cross member just ahead of the rear axle is sound. It does not appear to be packed full of dirt and has no visable rust holes. The rear bottom edge of the cab is in good shape and is not rusted. The bottoms of the doors are not rusted out. The drivers window glass is missing. The gas tank does not have any major dents and at least on the outside looks to be in good shape. The PTO is there, but as stated in the orginal description the winch drive shaft is missing. Then running board brackets are in good shape and not rusted out.
