This is a 1981 Toyota Celica GT 5spd, 2dr. Liftback sport coupe. Features the undisputed 22R engine, with a recent upgrade, a professionally rebuilt and installed cylinder head. Miles are at 470K, although with the new cylinder head runs like new. This car is not flawless, but the condition is good and performance is excellent. In the process of the rebuild the entire cooling system was upgraded with a new factory radiator, new radiator hoses, waterpump, and thermostat. Heater hoses were also replaced. This super sporty car features factory gauges, a 5spd manual transmission, shifts smooth through every gear, 5th gear is excellent on freeway, with fuel economy at it's best. Not sacrificing performance. Interior is in ok condition considering it's age no tears on original back bench seat, there is one tear in front drivers side bucket seat, but all original upholstery as seen, standard wear. It appears that the carpet was replaced and is fairly new. The dash does have some cracking issues, but replacements are available. I covered with Dash mat. Original paint and body in good shape as visible there is some cosmetic damage to passenger rear rocker panel, behind fender well, but easily repairable. This is a rust free california car. This car rolls on original Factory wheels, beauty rings and center hub caps. Tires are used with approximate 50-60% treadlife left. The suspension has been upgraded with brand new parts including centerlink for steering control to both wheels, idler arms/tierods have been replaced brand new, new pitman arm from steering box. Handling and cornering are excellent. This is not a pre-smog car. So there is a factory smog/air pump. California does have smog laws, unlike other states that may not require it. All windows/glass are all intact and in good condition. All running lights in good working order. This is a complete, great running and great looking 2nd. Generation Toyota Celica. Clear title.
