Vehicle Detail

This is a total electric converted truck. It runs great; it's smooth, quiet, and fast (freeway speeds). It plugs in any wall outlet and draws 14 to 15 amps and charges overnight. I typically drive it 6 miles to work and have a full charge by lunch. Operating cost is only 2 cents/mile! compare that to gasoline.. about 15 cents/mile. PLUS NO maintenance! I have not finished it completely but I drive it almost every day to work and back. The dash needs more wiring up of the gauges (which are installed), and I need a good solution for covering the batteries in the back. I converted this pickup last year and ran it with cheap marine batteries all summer and slowed down this winter. The range on a good summer day would be about 17 miles. I expect easily over 20-25 miles with new batteries. I got 13 Club Car (Trojan T-1275) batteries used from a friend's EV. They are old and all batteries need replacement. The truck has 2100 ev miles as of 5/8/12. The picture under the hood was taken before I installed the dc/dc converter. I made a retractable cord reel in the front. The equipment alone is worth it: It uses a very nice Raptor 1200 amp controller (about $2,700), warp9 motor ($1,700), Hydronic diesel heater NOT installed yet ($1,200). A Zivan NG3 Charger ($1,100), and quality motor mounts and coupling components. When the heater gets installed, it will work amazingly well. The gps come on with the key to track speed and miles. I believe all the wires are labeled behind the dash, someone just needs to get back there and hook up the ammeter and get lights in the gauges. It's not totally necessary (the volt meter works well enough to track range). My ideal buyer would be a hobbyist, tinkerer, or someone who cares about our sucky air quality. Don't get me wrong, electronic components by their nature are extremely reliable. I have never gotten stranded because this is strictly a commuter car. I have a source for lithium batteries for those who want to go 100+ miles/charge but a pack like that can run you the price of the truck. The body and interior are all in great condition, the wheels are new aftermarket and look good. Buyer is responsible for pick up or shipping from Salt Lake.
