1972 Mercury Montego GT with 53,000 original miles. Florida car shipped to Los Angeles CA in December 2004 and restored over the last 7+ years. I am relocating to ATL and will be glad to share the transportation costs to east coast buyers if that helps you in your decision (I am willing to pay up to 300 dollars towards shipping) Its has 53000 original miles on it and was rebuilt about 4000 miles ago by a race engine builder in Pasadena (Phil Lukens at Blair's speed shop). 400 bored out to a 408, Australian heads, adjustable push rods, roller rockers with hydraulic lifters, high volume oil pump, engle cam, Holley Street Avenger 670 cfm 4bbl carb, edelbrock performer 400 intake, MSD ignition, only thing that drips is the rear main seal as the original C6 transmission has not been taken apart. Torque converter, air has been converted and blows cold. Electrical systems good, radio is original. Electric windows all work. Seats reupholstered in 2008 with original materials by local upholstery shop (Markels). Rear end replaced with 3.25 open gears (originally was 2.75 open) and I have the rear gears and original carb. Lots of extras to come with the car including front door panels, rear package tray, trim, etc. Car was painted in 2006 after being stripped down to bare metal. Originally yellow, I painted it correct ford red for 72 instead. It runs strong and probably sits around 300 HP, with more torque than that. Some marks in the glass, some minor knicks and such in the paint, I can supply larger images if you email me so you can have a better look at the car overall.
