Up for auction is an original 1968 Shelby GT500KR. The manufacture date, according to the warranty number, was June 17, 1968. The car was produced in Metuchen NJ. The history is unknown until the early 1990’s when it was purchased by our father. The car was not driven extensively and was garaged approximately 15 years ago. Since his passing, the car has been discussed among the sons and has been agreed upon to be sold. The specifics are; An original 1968 Mustang 2+2 Fastback, Shelby GT500KR Engine is a 428 Cobra Jet. Transmission is a 4 speed manual. The color is Red with proper GT striping. The original color code is Lime Gold Metallic. The car shows an older restoration (prior to 1990). The interior is correct to the trim code, Black Vinyl and Black Knitted Vinyl, Luxury Interior. All the Shelby markings are in place. The original AM radio is still in the dash.
