This vehicle does not have AC, but it is a convertible! This samurai is a non abused samurai. What i mean by that is it has not been lifted, hacked on, or beat on. The condition is near new and by judging the overall look of the vehicle when i got it awhile back, this probably was never used in harsh 4 wheeling trips or beat on. I used it for a project, and just to go to town and back. I will try to go over all the aspects of this vehicle, if you have any further questions after reading my summary, please ask. If you in the area, stop by and take a look! Drive Train: Fresh new Rebuilt Transfer case with 100% brand new bearings (15 miles on it so far). T-case shifts effortlessly/crisply in 4hi 4Lo, and 2hi. A new poly shift sheet was installed for trouble free shifting The transmission was outfitted with a new shift bolt so now the shifting feels crisp like it was from the factory. The drive lines were checked for bad u joints and replaced as needed. T-case, Transmission oil and differential oil was recently changed. Break fluid was recently flushed and the breaks work as they should, I would estimate about 40-50% left. The tires are showing some UV cracking, there is probably 30-40% of tread life in them, but they should be replaced especially before the next winter or a long road trip The locking hubs on front axle turn easily and work as they should Engine: The engine runs very well for the age, it boasts nice red accents that match the grill it still has the original carburetor on the 1.3 motor. The previous owner stated that a major maintenance was performed on the motor but didn't remember what it was exactly, and judging by the way the water pump looks (clean/new), the timing belt was probably recently replaced since a water pump is typically replaced at the same time as the timing belt on these cars. There are no leaks that i can find, the motor runs at spec temp and performs as it should. The mounts also look good. Compression in the cylinders was checked and are with in spec. This engine has no problem starting even at below freezing temps like we get in Colorado. It is no problem for me to drive this vehicle at 70-75 mph in 4th gear on hilly country roads, 5th gear maintains the speed on semi flat to gradual slopes. Bear in mind i live at 6500-6800 feet in elevation, so this vehicle should perform even better at lower elevation and with proper carb. calibration. The exhaust muffler has been replaced with a stock brand new muffler, no leaks were detected on the existing catalytic converter or exhaust pipe at the time of installation. The mileage on the odometer says 6,235 but this is a 5 digit speedometer so you should read this as 106,235 miles, There is some issue on the title that pertain to this, somewhere along the way somebody who inspected the odometer didn't understand what happens after 99,999 miles so they said it was beyond mechanical limits, but this is common in the samurais. The Engine bay and hood was coated with a rubberized undercoating to deaden road noise and reduce vibration. The air filter, oil, spark plugs and oil filter were just changed. Body: This samurai recently received a professionally done, fresh new paint job in the original Color. There are a few minor imperfections. However the paint job makes this samurai look very sharp and should last another 20 years! The Soft top you see in the photos is brand new, it was installed 4 weeks ago. The rubber window scrapes and gaskets are brand new Interior: The seats are the original seats and are in great condition, no rips, tears or problems, the seats recline and slide like they should. The door panels are an aluminum diamond plate with black powder coating and match the black dash and seats. The cover on the bar in front of the roll bar has a few minor tears, see the photos most people opt to remove this fabric anyway. There is an Alpine Detachable face AM/FM CD player installed. I will also give you the Ipod/Iphone connector too. There is a minor glitch in the LCD display, the "CD" light flashes. After the paint job I had an epoxy spray in bed liner professionally installed with new rubber floor plugs, so now you can hose it out and not worry about hurting anything and it also deadens road noise. The windshield is brand new with a brand new gasket. The driver side window regulator was replaced with a brand new one, so now both windows glide up and down with little effort Everything works as it should on this Samurai. I am selling this because I am ready to start another project. Payment: (Please read) $500 is required at auction close. Deposit must be made with-in 24 hours of auction close or the vehicle will be re listed. You can pay cash when you come and pick it up or have a trucking company pick it up. If you want to put this on a credit card i will use PayPal but you will need to cover the fees associated with papal. One invoice will be sent for the vehicle and one will be sent for the fees (approximately 3%). Check is OK, but i will not release the vehicle until the payment clears my bank. Shipping: It will be your responsibly to arrange to pick up this vehicle you can have a professional company pick it up, or, it drives nicely, so if you want you could drive it home depending on the distance.
