Vehicle Detail
Selling my 1989 Toyota Supra Turbo that I have owned since 1997. The car is completely stock and was never modified, except for a metal head gasket that I had installed in 1998. I had this installed properly, so the car never had a head gasket problem. I have done all the work myself on this car so it was maintained properly. The car still has its original paint but I was hit two times and never repaired any of the damage or repainted. The car is also rusting in a few spots, the passenger door, and the rear wheel wells. I was hit in the front passenger side, and was hit on the back rear side. The interior of the car is in very good condition expect for the center armrest. The car always had tint on the windows since I owned it so it has prevented any sun damage to the interior. The car runs, drives and idles well. I just installed a new power steering rack last year. Some issues with the car. I am not trying to hide anything with the car and can work with whoever buys it with any issues it may have. I have worked on this car since 1998 and know it inside out. The break calipers have a small leak and you will have to add break fluid every so often until you fix the problem. The car does not like to start when the engine is hot, but will always start when the car is cold. Not sure why this is but I had this problem for many years. I can help you fix this problem as I have tried and diagnosed it myself already. I have replaced the starter and power cable already. I think the problem is a simple grounding issue. It is an odd problem because the car starts everytime when cold, but if you run the car and the engine is hot, and you stop someplace, you will not be able to start it back up until it cools down again. I have just been timing my trips to avoid this problem, and in the winter this problem does not exist, it is just in the summer. Sunroof does not work anymore, I have disconnected it completely. Air conditioner does not work, however, it may just need a simple recharge. A mechanic took out the freon years ago when I had the metal head gasket installed and never put the freon back in. I never bothered to get it refilled as I drive with the windows open during the summer. I think this may be as simple as putting the freon back into the AC unit.
