WOW!! I think we all have owned one of these or know somebody close that has. This car has 12,095 original miles and is just shy of 40 years old!!!! The car was owned by the same family since brand new untill 1/2008 when I purchased the car with only 8500 miles. The car was in storage for over 22 years and sold to me as part of the Estate. I had the car for a few days when a friend that loves classics had to have it. Now he asked me to sell it for him after putting $1,140 into freshing the car up and driving it 3,500 miles since 2008. I am familiar with selling cars on Ebay since I use to have a Classic Car Business so I knew more about how to do this than Jim and that is why I am helping him out. The car has a clean clear NYS transferable registration. That is how 1973 and older cars are transferred in NYS and I have never had any issues with any State or Country transferring ownership this way in 9 years of Business. I have a great amount of pictures for your viewing pleasure. There are NO EXTRA FEES or anything in this auction!! Now back to the car. It is so simple! No power brakes or steering but it is not hard to stop or steer at all. The tires and shocks are all brand new. The bands in the transmission were tightened and the kick down was adjusted. The car has had oil changes frequently and the transmission was serviced. The carburetor was rebuilt. The distributor was rebuilt. Fuel filters were done, the car was tuned up and the valve cover was painted and a new gasket was installed. The car runs and drives as it did from the factory. The coolant is nice and green. The battery is strong. The exhaust is strong and clean. The wipers, horn, am radio, signals, lights, all work properly. That is about all of the features of the car! SIMPLE!!! The car has seatbelts and shoulder belts in the front. The car is fresh and ready to drive anywhere in the United States. It is a turn key Antique car that always sparks conversation. Antique insurance is nice and cheap for cars over 25. The car has had paintwork on the lower passenger side below the moulding. The new paint color is a different tint but it looks nice. The rear quarter had some rust on the corner and there was a scratch on the 2 doors down low. The rocker was spotless. On the drivers side the rear quarter down low again had some rust on the lower corner. It too was repainted and painted. The paintwork was done 2 months ago. The car even has the factory sticker behind where the rear license plate goes. The trunk mat is brand new. I was showing the condition of the trunk so I pulled the mat up for the pictures. The spare is factory. The front bumper has a dent and I believe that the car had bumperettes on the front bumper that are now missing. The back had these bumperettes but they have a bit of pitting. The vinyl top is super clean. The carpets are fresh and clean. The 4 floor mats to protect the factory carpets are new and say, "Maverick" and look great! I have driven just about every car and I can say that I really enjoy driving this Maverick. It is old school and simple. It also has a great old car smell. No smoking, pets, or moth balls. I have a great shipper if needed and I help to arrange this for you. You will really love this car and it's nickname is, "Kermit". There is a reserve but I am told once it gets to a decent number Jim will release the reserve. The car is only listed here and won't end early so please schedule to win! The car has a clean, lien free open title and with all cars over 10 years old in New York State the miles are listed as, "Miles Exempt". I also will provide a copy of the title that was issued to Jim when it was sold to him with 8600 miles. That title was a Pennsylvania title that shows Miles Exempt as well but on the back it shows the miles. They are actual 13,095 original miles. Jim also said to lower the reserve and I just did.
