I have used synthetic oils in the rear end and the trans. it has new brakes all the way around and Yokohama tires with a little over 75% life left. It has the 7.3 Litter engine with the 6 speed manual trans. Gets 20 mpg highway. Runs like a top very smooth. I have a work truck that is also a 99 with the 7.3 power stroke that has 489,000 miles on it. Plenty of life left in this truck. This has been a project truck for me. I have turned it in to a one of a kind hybrid truck. There is not another truck like this one any where. there are a few things that I haven't work out yet but they are minor. Seat heaters are not hooked up. I have not figured out how to connect them (Needs some kinda pig tail). They function, just not hooked up. Radio display light has gone out. Trans temp gage is not hooked up. Have not figured out how to hook it to the manual transmission. Over head display does not function properly. These have always been a problem in ford trucks.
