1970 Challenger Up for bid is a partially restored Challenger in nice condition. This car is an original 318 column shift automatic. The car was purchased as is in 2006 and used very little since. Roughly 2K miles put on the car over the last 6 years. The mileage shows 67, 758 miles. Please read on for more particulars of the car: Body/Paint: The body panels are original and in good condition. Rust free body painted Plum Crazy prior to purchase. The paint is nice with a few small chips and very presentable. RT stripes where added for overall look. New vinyl top was applied at time of paint and looks like new. Interior: Most of the interior has been gone through with new seat covers, headliner, carpet. The dash looks to be original in very good condition. The interior is like new condition. Very nice. Seat belts are in very good condition. Running Gear: 318 V8 original to the car along with column shift 727 automatic. The rear end is original to the car. It is believed the engine and transmission have been rebuilt in the past. Suspension: The suspension is original to the car. Brakes are drum all the way around. Exhaust: New dual exhaust. Bright work: All the bright work is original to the car and unrestored showing some signs of ware. Glass: Original to the car. Wheels/Tires: 14 inch rally wheels that are very nice with beauty rings. Tires are Cooper Cobra Radial GTs, P245 60 R 14 all the way around in like new condition with excellent tread and ware pattern. Summary: This car represents an excellent cruiser without breaking the bank. Car show presentable, but in need of a little TLC in a few places. Excellent candidate to upgrade engine to higher performance.
