1985 Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet This is the car everybody wants! Stored inside, low miles and well maintained by a reputable shop. It runs strong, drives well and has fantastic curb appeal. As it sits, this is a really good car. A weekend with an enthusiastic owner would make it a really great car. This car needs a good home. Drivetrain: Engine starts, idles, pulls very strong and transmission shifts very well. The shift bushings were recently replaced and the clutch adjusted. The car drives just as you would expect from Stuttgart's finest. There are no obvious leaks or other issues. Exterior: Paint - a few small rock chips in the front as noted in the pictures, but is otherwise in good shape. Convertible Top - Small tear on driver side (see picture) and headliner is worn. Rear window is nice and clear. This is a manual top and does NOT require the top locking motors that are prone to failure on the later cars. Seals are in great shape with minimal wear or fade. Convertible Top Boot - Has a missing snap on the passenger side and the canvas shows some sun fading. Could be dyed and the snap replaced, or just use the tonneau and call it good. Tonneau Cover - Appears to have been used very little, if at all and looks nearly new. Lights - European amber/red tail lamp lenses and updated H5 headlights replace the original units. Factory fog lamps. Interior: Dash - One minor crack at each defroster vent. The one on the passenger side is the only noticeable one. No other warping or shrinkage is present. A/C center vent vanes are loose, but none are missing. Seats - Leather is in good shape but - as common with convertibles - exhibits some slight sun fading. Could be dyed and made to look good as new. Carpet - Like the leather, shows some sun fading, particularly in the rear wall. The structure of the carpet is good and would be a great candidate for re-dye. Radio - Eclipse AM/FM/CD head unit. Unknown speakers. Wheels and Tires: 16x6 and 16x7 Fuchs alloys with polished lip and painted centers. Matching valve stems and caps. Goodyear Eagle GT 205/55/16 (front) and 225/50/16 (rear) tires with lots of tread left. We have service records going back to 1991 for this car. The car has been driven very little during the last several years. The 75K service was done in 2006. Recent work - within the last 5,000 miles - includes remanufactured alternator, shift bushings, clutch adjustment, distributor cap and rotor and turn signal switch.
