Vehicle Detail
This is an extremely solid 1975 Ford Bronco from the dry state of Alabama. It came from the northern part of the state away from the ocean. I would have to say this Bronco is 99% rust free. The lower driver’s side door post shows a very small amount of rust starting to appear. By no means does the door post need replacing, a very easy fix from the wheel well area. The doors do not sag and open and close very nicely. That is the only spot of rust on the whole Bronco. There is no rust in the floor pans, striker posts, rocker panels, rear quarters, tailgate, grille, hood, top, front fenders, doors, body seams, and even the aprons under the hood where they all seem to rust. There has not been any rust repairs made as well to make this Bronco rustfree, it is all original metal. Pictures don’t due total justice on how solid this Bronco is, but I can take more if needed. Even though this vehicle is in Michigan now, it has never seen a Michigan winter or road salt. It is stored inside year round. This is my personal keeper Bronco that I have owned for the last 12 years. I have honestly owned between 40-50 Early Ford Broncos in various conditions within the last 20-25 years, this one is by far the most solid one I have ever had. The only reason I am listing it up for sale is, I have been working on a ground-up restoration of a 1971 half cab for the last four years. I have other toys/vehicles as well and just don’t need them all anymore. I am not desperate to sell this, if it sells it sells. The Bronco runs and drives very nice. It has had many upgrades done to it which I will explain. This Bronco has not been off-roaded or beat on, it is a pretty stock unmolested truck, other than the upgrades. Everything works on this vehicle, it is ready to drive and enjoy. ENGINE: Ford 302 V-8, pretty much stock internally to the best of my knowledge. It has an OEM Ford cast iron 4-barrel intake manifold off a 289, New Holley 600 cfm carb with electric choke and kickdown lever, MSD 6 series ignition box, and a Ford Duraspark electronic distributor. The motor carries 40 psi oil pressure idling warm, and 50-55 psi running down the road. Motor mounts, plugs, wires, thermostat, belts, and hoses are all new with last 1,000 miles. Motor does have a small oil leak from either the rear main, or pan gaskets. It’s not a huge leak that pours out, but it is there. TRANSMISSION / TRANSFERCASE: Rebuilt C-4 automatic transmission done by a professional transmission shop. Thoroughly rebuilt with upgrades done to the thrust washers, pump, clutches, and valve body. Has a firm shift kit installed, and a new (NOT rebuilt) high quality torque convertor. The pan gasket on the trans possibly needs to be replaced, it appears to be a little wet by some of the bolts. Rest assured, the tranny is very strong, and works well. Dana 20 gear drive transfercase was totally disassembled, cleaned, thoroughly inspected, and reassembled with all new seals and gaskets. AXLES / SUSPENSION: Dana 44 front axle, drum brakes, 3.50 gears, open diff. Ford 9” rear axle, 3.50 gears, open diff., big bearing housing. Both axles are pretty much stock, other than having brake work done, and routine maintenance performed. Bearings, seals, ball joints, u-joints , and tie rods are all in good working order. This Bronco has NO lift kit on it. It has the stock coils spring and leaf springs under it. Shocks have all been replaced. Driveshaft’s are good and tight, not sloppy, they have been serviced as well. INTERIOR: The interior is all the original stuff that’s in pretty good shape for its age. It has the Ranger interior trim package offered in 1975 with hoodstooth material on the seats, door panels, and rear panels. The vinyl is tan / buckskin in color. Driver’s seat shows some wear on the seam, passenger’s front seat is nice, back seat is mint. The original carpet isn’t too terrible bad, does have some tears in the back behind the back seat. The dash pad is not cracked or warped. No extra drill holes or anything like that on the dash. I do have an original AM radio for the dash that goes with the Bronco. All gauges, speedometer, wipers, and heater controls all work good. Heater core has also been replaced. EXTERIOR: The Bronco was repainted at one time in the original brown color. It is a respectable paint job, but it is not flawless. It does have some lights scratches and some chips in it, nothing terrible or real big. There also are a couple small dings in the hood, once again nothing real bad or big. It has the factory Sport exterior package on it, which gives you all the chrome moldings around the windows, beltline molding, chrome bumpers, and grille trim and letters. All moldings/chrome are in decent shape, not all pitted or dinged up. There are some cracks starting to show on the rear wheel well flairs by the pop rivets that hold them on. OTHER / MISC.: Tires are near new 265-75-15 (31 X 10.50) Cooper Discoverer AT’s, mounted on 15 X 8 Factory Ford forged aluminum modular wheels. Engine has Hooker headers with mandrel bent pipe going to Flowmaster mufflers, sound nice, not too loud but a nice rumble under load. The Bronco has factory power steering that works great, and factory dual gas tanks. Both tanks work, as well as the fuel gauges. The front tank needs a new gasket around the sending unit, it drips gas a little with more than a ½ tank in it. I have the original jack, jack handle, tire iron, spare tire rack hanger w/stud & hardware, to go with the bronco as well. The windshield does have a crack in it, but doesn’t block the view out of it. I have taken some time to thoroughly write this description with honesty and details to the best of my knowledge. Yes the Bronco does need a few minor things, but nothing big or show stoppers. You could drive this Bronco home if you wish to. It has not been fully restored, it is not flawless, but a very solid respectable Bronco. The engine bay or underbody/chassis, has not been fogged with a black spray can, it is clean of dirt and grease and shows its original status. I looked a long time to find a Bronco this original and not all messed up or jacked up. Buyer is responsible for all shipping/transportation costs. I can have it shipped right to your doorstep if needed. I will make my schedule flexible for pickup of the Bronco when needed, and assist in loading. Bronco is located in Zeeland, Michigan 49464. Bronco also has 88,000 original miles on it. Good luck, and happy bidding! On Apr-22-12 at 21:22:16 PDT, seller added the following information: I do have more pictures of the engine compartment, I used up my 24 picture pack before I could attach them. I have this Bronco for sale locally, so I reserve the right to stop the auction before it ends. No warrantee or guarantee is expressed or implied on this vehicle, it is sold as is. It is a 37 year old vehicle, but does run and drive nice as described in the above info.
