Vehicle Detail
1967 Triumph TR4A Roadster, factory TR4A IRS Car!! Restored car in fantastic condition, and drives great! This Triumph is equipped with a 4 Speed manual and Electronic Overdrive, Wire Wheels, IRS or Independent Rear Suspension, polished Walnut Dash, Full gauge package, Radio, front disc brakes, stainless steel exhaust, front seatbelts, full size wire wheel spare, jack and tool pouch, Chrome luggage rack, and is powered by the 104hp, 2138cc Inline 4-Cly with dual carbs, making this 2200 pound car a very sporty and quick driver. The story of this car goes like this. The car is from California and my friend purchased it in Dec 2011, he also purchased a Camaro the same week while playing on eBay. He had no room for both, and an angry wife, so he offered the car to me since I had just sold one of my Porsches. The California owner was an ASE Mechanic and did 95% of the restoration, including a complete engine rebuild from the carbs to oil pan, and done so that the car can now run on unleaded fuel. New weatherstripping, new stainless steel exhaust that sounds awesome, new bushing, new brakes, new wiring, and replaced all the chrome and trim, new interior, new Kumho Powerstar tires, new top and tons of miscellaneous other items, a ton of receipts for the restoration go with the car, and are organized in a 3 ring binder. Since I purchased the car, in Jan 2012, I finished the other 5%. I had the transmission completely rebuild by “Bob’s Transmissions” and had the paint work done, all work was by professional restoration shops here in St. Louis, Missouri. The car is finished in Signal Red with three coats of clear, hand sanded and rubbed out to give it a deep shine and high gloss! Since this car left sunny California 4 months ago it has been stored inside my climate controlled garage and has never seen salt, snow, rain or other. This is a very solid car, NOT some bondo bucket amateur restoration! This really is a fantastic driving and running car, and honestly I don’t think it has more than a few hundred miles on the engine rebuild and about 100 on the transmission. I have since been offered a car that I have been chasing for some time and would like to make some room for it in the home garage, so she is PRICED TO SELL, and at believe me the restoration cost much more than I am asking!! This is a great car I know you will be proud to own. The only things I know that need attention are the factory radio is not hooked up and the fuel gauge sometimes goes to empty with gas still in the tank, I think it is a loose wire at the sending unit, I just haven’t had time to check. If you need to, I have several contacts with professional enclosed auto shippers and would be happy to assist you in the transport worldwide!
