1978 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce This is a fun 1978 Alfa Romeo that is a fun vintage Italian convertible. It makes a good candidate for a rolling restoration, and with some work could be a daily driver. The good:Starts, runs, and drives.No structural rust and very clean car compared with many other '78 Alfas.Doors, hoods, and panels fit very well.Tires have less than 600 miles or so on them and have plenty (80-90%) tread left.Converted to Weber DCOE carbs, professionally balanced last fall.New fuel line.Interior in decent condition. Comes with dash cap to install. The headrests were removed for photos, but come with the car.The bad:Needs new top.Turn signals do not work.Ignition switch has been moved to beneath steering wheel due to broken key in lock.Missing rear bumper. Rear bumper had rotted very badly.Drivers side door needs to be sprayed and clear coated. It is currently matte black.If I were keeping it, I would put on seat covers and likely install new carpeting.I would also replace the springs.Please contact me with any questions.
