FEEL FREE TO MAKE AN OFFER AT ANYTIME. I CAN ALSO HELP YOU GET A GREAT SHIPPING PRICE. 1950 PLYMOUTH BUSINESS COUPE. Very cool original project or easy driver. This car was owned by the same person for 55 years until sold in 2005. Lots of his mail etc. was still in the car including a draft card for WW2 and a drivers license that was issued before this car was built. The car runs excellent and is very straight and original. Clear title and it has the original engine. These make great rods and would probably be a cool gasser car also. Here are all the details. Basic pictures are in the listing but MORE PICTURES ARE IN THE PHOTOBUCKET LINK. Thanks. Pictures: http://s942.photobucket.com/albums/ad267/tutheck5/1950%20plymouth%20business%20coupe/ Video 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fNlDkR7tP5I&feature=youtu.be Video 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T3NdsKXNbE4&feature=youtu.be MECHANICAL This car has the original six cylinder with 3-on the tree manual transmission. It runs excellent and doesn't smoke, knock or leak. The transmission and clutch work as they should but something is loose in the steering column and the shifter doesn't work. You can run it by hand (under the hood), which is what I did to test the gears. It should be an easy fix but I didn't get into it. The fuel pump doesn't work so I just used gravity feed in the funnel you see in the video. I'm sure the fuel system probably needs cleaned. Brakes don't work. The car should be re-wired as insulation is coming off of some of the wiring. Key is included. It doesn't need much to make it a daily driver and needs no major mechanical work. The motor purrs and should have many miles left in it. BODY As you can see in the pics, the body is nice, but it is not perfect. Needs the floors replaced in the whole interior area due to rust. Front is worse like usual, but needs work behind the seat also. Rockers need completely replaced also as they were rusty. This includes the actual rockers and the low area in front of the rear wheels, a couple inches up like the rockers. They are bondo'd over and then the car was painted original color. No bondo anywhere else that I can find and really no dents in the car. Trunkpan is near perfect but has minor rust in one spot that can be patched easily. Also a little bit on the lip where it closes but not bad at all like others I've seen. Besides those area's the body is in nice shape. Doors/trunk close as they should and windows work. Front vent works. Hood closes properly. Fulton visor may have been dealer added, not sure but it's cool. Overall, it needs some rust repair but not too bad and driveable as-is. INTERIOR The interior is complete but needs re-done. Dash/gauges are in nice shape. Seat needs recovered. No carpet. Headliner is actually usable and not falling down. OVERALL Nice little project car and rare to see at car shows. Would be a sweet gasser and much cheaper than a willy's. It would be great restore back to original and would be an easy restoration. On Apr-12-12 at 02:59:17 PDT, seller added the following information: Due to questions I feel I should should re-emphasize that the floor is in bad shape needs to be redone. The tunnel is usable but the rest for the most part is rusty. You are not going to easily patch it. Rocker area also need redone, not just patched. Thanks.
