My father bought this car with low miles around 1993 and drove it for close to 10 years because he loved it. In fact, he loved it so much that when he finally got a new car he refused to sell it, opting to park it in a heated garage in upstate New York. It was babied, both physically and mechanically. It has over 200k miles, but 95% of them are highway driving - it was never used for commuting, only for weekend trips. It has now sat for 8-9 years, but it still looks great. When we put it in the garage it was running perfectly, but the starter was on its last legs - when we went to start it a year later, the starter was dead. I have not had a chance to get it started, but I would expect with some fresh fluids and fuel and a good starter it would fire up no problem. Mechanically the only known issue is the starter, other than that it should be ready to run. The front left tire has a slow leak (bad seat, small puncture or the like) but the tires are close to new. Cosmetically, it has one small spot of rust at the top of the windshield that has compromised the windshield seal (see picture), but other than that, the paint is in great shape and a beautiful pearl white, as would be expected of a car that was garaged its entire life. The windshield and all other glass are clear (the little spots you see in the pictures are rain). The mirrors are a little aged, and the bumpers have a few scratches, but that is to be expected. The interior is in incredible shape for a 200k mile car. The shift knob is worn, but everything else looks good. I'm listing this as a no reserve auction with a $100 starting bid (to cover the listing cost). I'm not terribly concerned about how much I get for the car, I just want it to go to a good home. I know there are Audi 200 fans out there, and for good reason, this car is a blast to drive, and super comfortable. If you have any questions, please email me, and I will answer whatever I can. Likewise, any questions that require access to the vehicle can be answered this weekend, but after that I won't be able to inspect, or take pictures of, specific items. The car is currently in Keene Valley, NY (12943) and the buyer is responsible for picking it up at that location within 30 days of the auction close with a means of transporting it (trailer, flat bed, etc). I have answered a few questions (below). I have confirmed that this is the 10 valve turbo, and it has 16 inch wheels. I was not able to get more pictures of the seats, but they are all in great shape. I mentioned in one of the question responses that all of the electronics (windows, sun roof, seats) are full functional - the one exception is that half of the driver side seat heater was not working when the car was stored; the seat portion worked, but the back didn't. I have posted some new pictures of the engine, a close up of the tires, and the vehicle documentation.
