1992 MERCEDES BENZ 300SD S CLASS DIESEL 261K Miles - Beige Interior/Exterior 1992 MERCEDES BENZ 300SD DIESEL S CLASS 261K Miles - Beige Interior/Exterior Garage Kept. Looks and runs great. Needs a little TLC to be perfect which is reflected in the asking price. We have included the Kelly Blue Book Page for current value of the vehicle. This was my husband's car, took good care of it. Below is his description of the car: Stereo CD, Power Seats/Windows/Locks, Sunroof/Cruise, Dual Zone Climate Control, Remote Start, Keyless Entry/Alarm System 6 cylinder Turbo-Diesel 3.5 ltr 261,000 miles - the is garage kept Great reliable Solid smooth riding car nice interior and exterior a few minor scratches, sheep skin style seat cover on the front seats. There is a slight discoloration on the drivers side, no rips or tears. On the passenger side there appears to be a slight stretch in the seam, again no tears or rips. The leather on the arm rest has deteriorated (see pix). This is a wonderful 20 year old car. The car is being sold “As Is”. With that said, I can point out all the issues or things that I know of about the car : 1. Windshield has a crack on passenger side. 2. The car is weak going in reverse after it’s warmed-up and slips at times. I’m not sure why, it may be an adjustment or the trans needs a flush & filter. It's never been an issue for me but I want potential buyers to be aware of. I am including a brand new unopened Transmission Pan Gasket and Filter with the car. 3. The car is going to need tires soon. 4. The cruise control does not work consistently. 5. The ASD (anti-sway-I think) light is on (on the dash) and has been on since I owned the car. This part is located somewhere in the rear-end? I was told by a Mercedes Benz dealer that a solenoid needed replacing that cost $300 to get the light to turn off. I never noticed any sway or handling issue with the car. 6. The ABS light is on - on the dash. I'm not sure why. The car stops like normal. 7. I bought the valve stem seals with the intention of installing but never got around to it and am including. The car seems to consume oil a little more than normal because of this but I have always kept an eye on the oil. I drive this car everyday to work. It was my intention to covert this to a Veggie Diesel as I did on my previous 83 300D . But I have I decided instead to down-size to a smaller vehicle for my daily commute. I’m hoping that someone will buy the car and install a greasecar kit. This car would be great for that! We have cleaned interior and exterior and recent Oil change. I also have some extra items that go with the car. Valve over gasket, Valve stem seals, Oil filter bulb and fuses. We highly recommend a test drive prior to buying and we will make it available based on our schedule and yours. Please give us a day notice.
