Vehicle Detail

2006 New Beetle TDI (Diesel)Gets 36 MPG average -- we drive mostly in town. Why Selling? We are selling this car because our first kid is due in 4 weeks and we need something with 4 doors. Simple as that. We would keep it otherwise. The only drivers were my wife and me. Worth Every PennyThis is a great car, worth every bit of the Buy It Now price, which is well above the Reserve price (which is right in line with Edmund's "Private party" market value. Other VW Beetle TDI's on Ebay with higher mileage are selling for more than our reserve. Here are some basic stats about the car: 1 Owner: I purchased this car new from the dealer in 2006 (Momentum VW Jersey Village)Garage Kept: We kept it in our garage. Smoke FreeNo Loan or Lien Outstanding: We have the title which you will get upon full payment. Always Passes Inspection: Never failed an inspection, emissions or otherwise. Extras: sun roof, rubber and cloth mats (never used the cloth so they are literally like-new), cd player, leatherette seats, audio input jack for mp3 player, heated seats2 Keys: You will get 2 remote keysManual and touch up kit included: You will get the manual and touch up kit (never used) that came with the carScratches & Dents: all detailed below and in pictures -- crack in window, dented rocker on right side (not visible from normal view), broken plastic piece under front bumper -- again, see picsClear Title: This car has never been wrecked or even bumped. The dented rocker is from a closer-than-expected curb that jumped up when was turning right. 36 MPG: Seriously, the car regularly gets 36 mpg. No mechanical problems: In fact, we took it to the dealer last week to have them look it over. They replaced the thermostat. Payment Terms$500 due immediately via PayPal upon Buy It Now or upon winning bid. Full payment due within 3 days of end of auction. Remainder due in cash or via cashier's check upon receipt of car. Shipping Buyer pays shipping. Car must be paid for in full before car will be released to buyer or shipper. Condition of CarHere are as many details as I can think of about the car. Look at my rating on Ebay (100% positive). Also, feel free to ask me any questions. Interior ConditionThe interior is excellent condition overall. We always kept the inside fairly saturated with armor all or a similar product. Leather (leatherette) is nearly perfect -- no tears, cuts, rips, blemishes, stretch marks, etc. Power [everything] works -- power sun roof, windows, doors, heated seats, side view mirrors, defrost, A/C, everything worksA/C works great -- blows nice and cold. Heater works great, too, by the way. Dash is nearly perfect -- no cracks, scratches, fading (that I can tell)Broken arm rest lid -- the pivot mechanism on the arm rest in the center console is broken (see pic). You cannot tell until you lift it, because it does not stay fixed at the joint. When down, it looks and functions normally. Rubber Floor Mat on Driver's Side is Worn -- this is kind of petty, I guess, but the driver's side floor mat has hole worn in it from my heel. Cloth Floor Mats Never Used -- The cloth floor mats were NEVER used. The rubber ones were put in before I drove the car off the lot. Satellite antenna installed -- The antenna and wiring for a Serius satellite radio has been installed in case you want to use that. Exterior ConditionThe exterior is probably classified as "Clean", which means "Some normal wear but no major mechanical or cosmetic problems; may require limited reconditioning." (from Edmunds). Here's everything right and wrong with it...Paint is in great condition -- it has a few scratches but is probably better than what you might expect from a car with 109K miles. Dented rocker under passenger door -- this is bottom rail below the door, under the car. You can't really see it in the pictures, which is kind of the point, I guess. This happened while turning out of a parking lot, going 3 miles an hour. Nothing was hurt except my pride and the rocker. You cannot see it unless you are stooping really low and looking for it. Crack in windshield -- I think this was caused by heat but your guess is as good as mine. No other cracked windows. Cracked plastic thing under front bumper (driver's side) -- I don't know what it's called but it was broken because a piece of wood or something came from the truck in front of us and hit it while driving on the highway. Made a heck of a noise but only that plastic honeycomb thing was broken. It's not very visible so we didn't replace it. See pic. Paint scratched/smudged above cracked plastic thing -- The paint above the plastic honeycomb thing was also dulled/smudged. It's not really a scratch because it's not even through the paint. Maybe it can be buffed out but I hate to give false hopes. Scratched rims on driver's side -- parked too close to curb, I guess. I'd ask my wife sometimes these topics are better left alone. Again, it was never wrecked; not even a fender bender. Look hard at the pictures and ask me about anything else you think you see. Other / MiscThe car also has these things: Spare tire (under deck in trunk)Runs greatBattery is less than a year oldTiming belt was replaced around 80,000 milesTraction controlTires have lots of life left on them (see pic)Deck lid on trunkHead rests for all seats, including backWheel lock key (in glove compartment)2 remote flip keysOwners manual and book ASK QUESTIONSFeel free to ask questions. I will do my best to respond quickly. Again, please notice I've got 100% feedback after 130+ transactions on Ebay. I've tried to list everything about this car -- good and bad. If there is something else you want to know, ask. Thanks, Chris
