Here is a 1995 Volkswagen GTI with only 72k miles on it (71,999 to be precise). This little car has been a fantastic car for the time I have had it, and I am sad to part ways with it. I have put many hours of work into this car, replacing the water pump, clutch, driver- and passenger-side wheel bearings, back glass, vacuum hoses, moonroof motor, and various plastic pieces of the dashboard and inside panels. The engine runs smoothly, and I have never had any real problems with it. There is a slight tick that is common to all VR6 engines and does not affect performance in any way. It gets 24 mpg on average, which is great for a quick little sports car like this. The interior looks very nice for its age. The car only had two owners before me, and neither of them smoked. The car comes with factory speakers that have a very nice, clean sound to them. Regular maintenance has been kept up for the car. including oil changes every three months. Since the car needs a new CV axle, the axle will need to be replaced before it is drivable. I am familiar with multiple shops in the area and am willing to arrange towing to whichever one the buyer decides upon to be picked up upon repair. This will probably be more convenient for the buyer than towing the car home to get it fixed. Pros -Replaced clutch about 20,000 miles ago. -Replaced water pump when I got it. Which was about 27,000 miles ago. -Replaced wheel bearings on both front wheels. -There was a lot of plastic missing in the car when I got it. I have since replaced most of it. -Runs beautifully. It may need a tune up soon. -Gets 24 mpg, which is great for a sports car. -Has a working original moon roof, which is almost unheard-of in cars this age. -Looks nice, considering its age. Only a couple small dents on the body. -Near-perfect interior, excepting a few rips and natural wear and tear. -Extraordinarily low mileage. Cons -Needs a new CV axle, which should cost about $60. -Auxiliary water pump is going bad and occasionally leaks coolant. It will run with the one it has for while, though. -Leaks a little oil. This may just be a gasket gone bad. -Driver side window doesn't work and needs a regulator, which can cost as low as $50. Aside from a few small repairs, this car has all it needs to be a great, reliable car for many more years to come. These cars are fairly hard to find and are loved by Volkswagen enthusiasts.
