For Sale A Virgin 1950 Mercury 2 door, believe it or not this car is UNTOUCHED-STOCK, and has not been monkeyed with! THIS IS THE PERFECT CAR FOR AN ORIGINAL RESTORATION OR BUILDING YOUR CUSTOM DREAM CAR!!! SUPER SOLID and SUPER STRAIGHT, Flathead V8 runs smooth and very good, doesn’t smoke, 3 speed trans shifts fine, and drives down the road good. Very minimal rust... small amount on the inner rocker panels and a small patch on the outer rocker panels. A few small bubbles on the lower front fenders by the doors. THE FLOORS and FRAME ARE OUTSTANDING! The underneath of the car is VERY SOLID, not a rusty scaley mess. The car sat inside a basement of a home for over 18 years. It’s truly amazing how nice the the car is for being 52 years old. The car has a new “Tanks” gas tank, fuel pump, rear brake line and radial tires. I had the wheels blasted and powder coated bright red. That is all I’ve done to it. I have driven the car a little bit around town. The only thing I can tell is the car is missing a horn ring, spare tire, and trunk key. Other than that, the car is complete from the original air cleaner, skirts & caps to the bumper jack. All of the chrome/trim is in good shape, very easily re-chomed or polished. Interior chrome/trim is there and in great shape. The cloth interior of the car is trashed. The body has the usual scratches and very small dinks. For a black car... the sheet metal is VERY nice straight down the sides, roof, hood trunk etc... The car has patina... from 10 foot away it looks like a million bucks. The only think that has really been done to it is a re-paint, and I would say that was in the 60’s or 70’s. Like I said the car is 52 years old. It could use a restoration or just a few things done, and drive it like it is. The car is NOT A RUST BUCKET. It’s super solid and straight. I think you will be surprized how nice the car is in person... no joking! Every car guy that sees it is amazed how solid and honest the car is.
