ENGINE and AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. This 2006 ESCAPE was a new car trade-in and IS IN NEED OF ENGINE REPAIR. This vehicle starts, runs, and drives however it does HAVE A SUBSTANTIAL ENGINE NOISE. The noise or knock appears to be coming from the lower part of the engine. We have not had the engine professionally diagnosed and have no idea what is wrong with it. The body is in good condition with the exception of some scratches on the right quarter panel and about a 4 inch scratch on the hood ( seen in pictures ). The interior is good condition but may need a light cleaning. KELLY BLUE BOOK RETAIL is over $10,000, regardless of that we are selling this vehicle with NO RESERVE. There are some light scratches on the right quarter panel and about a 4 inch scratch on the hood all very easy to touch up ( seen in pictures ). It is a used vehicle so there maybe some other small dings or nicks but overall the body is straight and looks good. INTERIOR: Non-smoker. As stated above the interior could use a light cleaning but is in overall good condition. DRIVE TRAIN: Starts, runs and drives BUT HAS A SUBSTANTIAL ENGINE NOISE. Transmission shifts smooth and the 4x4 works as it should. Tires have about 80-90% tread. Do to the engine noise we would not recommend driving this vehicle any distance to avoid possible future damage. SHIPPING and PAYMENT: $500 non-refundable deposit due within 48 hours of the end of the auction. If deposit has not been received within 48 hours of the end of the auction the vehicle will be re-listed, no exceptions. Balance due upon pick up.
