For auction on ebay is my 1969 Charger SE 383, 4 speed car!On Mar-21-12 at 20:51:45 PDT, seller added the following information: It has the numbers matching 383 4 bbl engine and 4 speed transmission. Odometer shows just over 42k miles. This car up until recently had sat covered since 1980! This is the first time it has publicly been for sale. The car is painted its original R4 Red. Paint was done about 2 months ago and is still fresh. There has been a lot of time, money and effort put into this car over the last year to get it into the condition you see now. All numbers on body, tags, motor and transmission match the VIN tag and original fender tag. There were 3579 383 4 speed cars in 1969, of those only approximately 260 were optioned with the SE package. Very rare and they do not come up for sale often. I have only seen 2 others. Please read through everything to see the extensive list of things done to the car. Motor is the original 383, and was rebuilt to close to stock. It has 10.5-1 pistons and the car runs PERFECT. Very strong and only has 18 miles on the engine as of today. Every last part on the motor was replaced, including belts, hoses, sending units, and all accessory components. The original carb. was professionally restored. It has the original exhaust manifolds, radiator, etc. The motor was completely intact when I got the car and everything was cleaned and painted or replaced. Transmission is the original 4 speed and has been completely rebuilt with new bearings and synchros. It is very tight and also only has 18 miles on the trans. Clutch, pressure plate and throw-out bearing all replaced. New clutch hardware, boot, and service kit. Transmission works perfectly and is ready for driving. Driveshaft was gone through with new U-Joints and was professionally speeed balanced. Rear end is the original 8 3/4 with original 3.23 gears. Rear end was serviced and works as it should. No howling or any noises. The car runs and drives excellent. Exhaust is brand new 2 1/2" with new mufflers, pipes, hangers all the way out to new charger exhaust tips. Brakes were completely gone through. Has power drum brakes with new Brake booster, master cylinder, wheel cylinders, hardware, shoes, rubber hoses, front hard lines, and master cylinder lines. Suspension was completely rebuilt and gone through. Has new bushings, ball joints, tie rods, Idler arm, Shocks and sway bar links. The car rides and handles great. Suspension was cleaned, blasted and painted. Has new gas tank, fuel pump, sending unit and fuel filter. Carb was professionally restored. Wheels are the original Magnum 500 Road wheels. They were on the car when I purchased it and are date coded 69 and are correct for the car. Tires are brand new BF Goodrich T/A's. Tires have 18 miles on them. Wheels have original caps with new trim rings and lug nuts. Interior is brand new. Has new seat covers, carpet, headliner, package tray, trunk mat, dash cap, door panels, shift bezel, rear window trim. Has nice original upper door pads and arm rests along with original door hardware. New glove box liner as well. Has original woodgrain dash and pedal dress up kit still installed. Has AM radio which does not have speakers hooked up at this time. This is a NON console car which is very unusual. Has new woodgrain shift ball a long with original woodgrain steering wheel. The exterior was completely repainted the original R4 Red. Has rear bumble bee stripe. The car has had 2 repaints from what I could tell. Has new bumpers front and rear, door handles, door locks, wheel lip mouldings and new vinyl top. All stainless was hand polished and in excellent shape, especially for its age. The weatherstripping on the doors, roof and trunk were all replaced. Has new marker lights and front park lights. Electrical is in very good shape. Has new engine and front light harness. The dash gauges all work, except the clock(they never seem to work). Dash lights work. Key buzzer and key light along with map light, glove box light and dome lamp all work. Flashers, brake lights, headlights, hi beams, turn signals all work along with wipers. The car also has been documented and registered by Galen Govier by previous owner. I have all the docs from that and will go to the new owner. Has a clear title in my name. All of the original decals that were removed for paint were reinstalled on the car in the same spot I removed them from. This includes the tire pressure, emission, tire jack instructions, coolant, air cleaner decal and federal sticker on door pillar. This is a very Rare Special Edition Charger. On the roof sail it has the original SE emblems, which were on all SE's instead of the Charger emblem. This is a great running, driving and looking car. I've tried to cover all the areas on the car, please email with any questions. Doesn't get much better than a Red 69 Charger big block, 4 speed and all numbers matching! I've invested a ton of money into the car and I am putting the reserve VERY low to ensure the car sells. Someone will get a great deal on my Charger.
