This car is as original as they come. I purchased it from the lady that bought it new in Springfield, MA. when she was 18. She drove it until 1990 and then parked it in their Barn. It has New paint, rims and tires, and Bumpers, everything else is original. Mechanically, it has a new exhaust, new shocks, changed the oil and filters, put a new valve cover and air filter. I'll put the original valve cover and air intake in the trunk. The brakes are drums, they stop the car, but I would change the master cylinder and may be even add power brakes. The Steering is really tight, I was surprised when I drove it the first time. The Carburator was just rebuilt, car starts on the first turn and drives nice, After the first 100 miles or so I would have it adjusted for optimal performance. The AM radio and all the rest of the instrument panel actually work, fuel, oil, temp, speedo, even the lights under the dash light up. The convertible top boot is original and in amazing condtion. I wish I could say the same for the top, its the original but it has the usual split in the rear window where the two pieces meet. Also has a small tear on top of the passenger seat. I priced it and it would cost me less than $700 for material and labor. I never got a Title for the vehicle. After 44 years she couldn't find her original paper work. So I am selling with a bill of sale. If you really need a title I can probably get one for you after full payment on the car. Most states do not require a title on a 44 year young vehicle. They look really good and the tires are fine for summer driving.On Mar-21-12 at 16:38:45 PDT, seller added the following information: Just had the car tuned, new cap, point and rotor, and had the carb adjusted. The brakes are going to be serviced on Friday, all new wheel cylinders and a brand new master cylinder. Also I am having the clutch lever bushing replaced as well. I am trying to leave as little work for the next owner as possible! Also you are welcome to inspect the car anytime.
