Thank you for taking the time to take a look at my 1997 Signature Series Lincoln Towncar of which I am the third owner. The Towncar was first a corporate car, owned by a bank for which a family friend worked. A chauffeur drove my friend from from Lancaster to Harrisburg every morning and home in the evening. There is additional lighting installed in both the front and the back seats of the car to make working while riding easier on the eyes. There is also a safety mechanism installed in the trunk so it can be released from the inside. After my family friend left the bank, the car was transferred to his name as part of a severance package. He was the second owner. I have all of his maintenance records dating back to 1999 when the car was transferred to his name. I am the third owner and I have driven the car daily for about the last 6 months. It hasn't given me any issues. I am selling this car because I need to raise some money to restore my 1978 Mercedes Benz 300D. The Lincoln has been impeccably maintained. Every accessory works. The AC blows ice cold and the heat is can be as hot as you please in the winter. The heated leather seats are also a nice touch in the winter. There is nothing quirky about this car. Everything functions just as it should. The Lincoln has always been garage kept up until the last 6 months (it doesn't fit in my small garage). The previous owner had it washed, waxed and vacuumed religiously. The front tires have about 90% tread intact and the rear tires have about 35% tread remaining. The car is inspected until August of 2012. It won't need anything to pass. The oil was changed less then 1,000 miles ago and I have had the car washed at least once a month. (more when the roads were salted) The second owner was a smoker so there are a few burn holes on the speaker cover on the passenger side near the arm rest. The fabric on the roof has started to come down a little bit in the rear of car as I tired to show in the pictures (it could be easily repaired). There are also two strange 6 inch spots on the front and rear of the top of the car where maybe the clear coat came off. There is also a similar, but smaller spot on the front passenger side hood of the car. A friend told me that these could be buffed and made to look much better. The driver's side window tilts slightly when going up, but returns to its proper position once it is fully up (it does not leak). The passenger's side mirror is in a fixed position and cannot be controlled via the mirror controls inside the car. The heated defroster on both the driver's and passenger's side mirrors still work. This short list consists of everything that I have found to be wrong with the car in the last 6 months. This is a No-Reserve auction, so the highest bid will take it. The buy it now price is set at $4,600.00. The car is also listed locally so I reserve the right to end this listing at any time.
