Up for auction is a 1978 Mercedes Unimog 406, with a 8' Schmidt Snow Plow and 6 cylinder diesel engine. The truck has front and rear working PTO, and 6 speeds with low and crawler gears. Also included are the shop manuals and a Shmidt Snow Thrower (if interested). The snow thrower was working when purchased, but has not been attached in the 8 years I have owned the truck. I have only used it to plow my long driveway, and the brakes do not operate. One wheel is locked, but after driving it a while all brakes release, but do not operate. I have had them fixed before but they only lasted one season and since I only plow my driveway with it, I don't need the brakes. THIS TRUCK IS FOR PICK UP ONLY AND IT WILL HAVE TO BE TOWED TRAILERED! The engine starts and runs perfectly, and the transmission and lockers also work as they should. There is quite a bit of rust on the cab and the windshield is cracked (will need replacing). Some of the lights also do not work. I am selling this truck only because I have some college bills to pay, otherwise I would never part with this unbelievably capable and rare off road machine. This unimog was town owned for most of its life and I have thousands of dollars worth of previous maintenance records. I do not have a title, but I do have an old NH registration which expired in 2004. The complete shop manuals, which I purchased separately, are also included. A $1,000.00 deposit (PayPal) is required within 24 hours after the auction ends, and full payment must be made within 5 days after auction end.
