Up for sale is my 2001 Ford Excursion 4x4 Diesel Limited. I purchased it in June of 2010 with 46k on it. After much deliberation I have decided to sell it. I can't bear to drive it in anything other than sunshine, so it mostly just sits. It has only been driven in winter one season (before I had it) and it shows. Its been garaged since new. Its never been a work, farm or even family vehicle, so it is spotless inside too. It has to be one of the lowest mile examples left, and literally it would pass for 10k miles..its that nice. Below is a detailed description. Mechanical Always serviced and maintained. No leaks anywhere and no issues that need to be addressed. At 46k miles approximatly $4,000.00 was spent on new tires, new pads and rotors, new wheels and 2 new batteries. The tires are high quality Dick Cepek FC II radials(33x12.50x17) on Raceline 17x9 alloy wheels.The fuel filter was changed and the transmission and transfer case were serviced. I also had an extra leaf installed on the front axle and an F350 block installed on the rear axle to give it approximately 1 3/4 inch increased ride height, so it wouldn't look like a four wheel drive station wagon. An alignment was also done. This work was done professionally at Trier Ford, Monteith Tire in Warsaw or Fort Wayne Spring Service. Also the front lockout hubs have been changed to manual for reliablity purposes. It starts, runs, drives and stops 100%. There are no pulls, vibrations, pulsations whatsoever. The front and rear HVAC work correctly and the expensive lines underneath the truck are in perfect condition - no salt to corrode them. All instruments and guages work. Cruise works. 6-disc CD works and switches CD's correctly. All power windows and door lock actuators work. I have both keys and both remotes. I also have the original keyless entry door code. Power seats and heated seats work correctly. All lights, turn signals, defrosters and other electrical work correctly. Trip computer, compass, thermometer and MPG readout work correctly. I average 18-19 MPG over the road, but I drive it easy. No programmers, chips or any other alterations have ever been made to the engine or powertrain or exhaust.I have books and manuals and most receipts for the work listed above. Exterior Always kept inside. Paint is flawless, glossy and original everywhere. No cracks, pitting or scratches in the glass. No rust anywhere and none starting. Even the doorskin seams are perfect which is nearly impossible on an Excursion. The paint shines like new. This truck was not detailed in any way for these pictures. It always looks like this. The only imperfections of note are a ding/small dent in the front bumper above the drivers side fog lamp and some wear on the paint behind the front wheel wells from splash guards (mudflaps) that were removed. The Ranch Hand grill guard comes off with 4 bolts. If you live in deer country you might want to leave it on. Interior It is perfect. Even the steering wheel has never been re-dyed. No cracks or wear in the leather and the carpets and headliner are spotless, including under the mats. It wasn't cleaned - it always looked like this. It's never been smoked in. For the most part the only seat ever sat in is the driver's. The door panels are also perfect, as is all the weather stripping on the body and the doors and windows. Summary I am selling it because I can't just let it sit. I rarely drive it and I won't let anyone else who lives here drive it either. I have the title (actual miles) in my possession, no lien. I am hesitant to sell it because there are no more of these - this has got to be one of the last 7.3 low mile Excursions. It really is one of a kind and I can say that because I am a picky person who is rarely satisfied with a used vehicle. You won't be disappointed with it. The reserve is realistic and the auction will not end early for any reason. There is no buy it now. It is not for sale elsewhere. Please do not call and ask me to sell it before the auction ends.
