Vehicle Detail
This is a Florida vehicle that is not rusted out. Look at the pictures. That is right! No reserve. I just don't need the truck anymore. I am starting the bidding well under what I have into the vehicle, but thought this would make it interesting. We'll see :) I am going to try to remember everything (good, bad or indifferent) in order for you to have a good idea of what you are bidding on, but if something is missed, let me know. I will be happy to answer. The engine is a strong running 4.0 liter, that does not leak. It runs great. The check engine light will come on every now and then for a day or so if I don't drive it for a while. I have been informed it is a lazy O2 sensor. It runs great, so I never felt the need to fix it. The transmission was replaced about 2 1/2 - 3 years ago with a remanufactured Ford unit, installed by the Ford dealer in town. It was not a used / junk yard transmission. No leaks, never misses a shift and the fluid looks great. All of the work and maintenance was done at the dealer over the years. The transfer case/4x4 unit works great as well with no leaks. Suspension- again, no leaks. All of the ball joints and tie rod ends were replaced less than a year ago sparing no expense to make it right. Does not sway, wander or pull. It feels tight while driving and over bumps. Shocks are all good. 2 of the tires were replaced at the time this work was done. They are all Goodyear Wranglers. The back ones still had plenty of tread so I left them alone. The brakes are ALL new with Ford pads and hardware, rotors and drums were turned. Again, this was about a year ago, it stops on a dime. The interior shows some age. The carpet could use a little scrubbing. I did a quick job on it when I put a new headliner in and got dust everywhere. There are some small burn holes in the drivers seat, but it is functional. The center console armrest has a piece of material pulled over it due to getting grimmy over the years. It functions well and the material can be removed/replaced when it too gets messy from work. No cracks in the dash, missing trim, holes in the carpet, etc... The door panels are curling up a little under the armrest assembly due to Florida heat. I just put a new Carlite windshield in it due to a stone on the highway. No chips or craps in any other glass including th sliding rear window. The paint shines for the most part. I can tell the drivers door has been repainted due to some clear coat peeling under the window trim. It is about a 2x 7 inch area. Probably a cheap re-clear at Maaco on that door, but I just never got to it. There is a Ford bedliner from day one installed along with a diamond plate tool box w/key. The odometer stopped working about 1 1/2 years ago, but it hasn't really been driven much in the last year. I just change the oil every 6 months even though it probably only has about 1-2 thousand miles on it each time. It was always changed every 3k miles when it did work by the previous owner/family friend. I found a website that will install a new nylon gear in the instrument cluster to fix this, since the speedometer is still working. It was not very expensive, but again, it is pretty much exempt from odometer accuracy due to age in Florida. The AC is cold and works well. The same goes for the heat. All of the electrical accesories work as designed including the power windows, locks, mirrors, lights wipers (although, I believe some of the really slow intermittant wiper speeds either don't come on stay the same speed). If you are looking for a solid, reliable, good Ford truck that has 4x4, look no further- you have found it. This price is definately right. ***** See added pictures. I have had numerous requests for more including the frame, rockers and tailgate. I did my best crawling photography. Thanks for viewing again.
