I have for sale my 98 impreza RS project w/jdm 2.5 turbo swap newly rebuilt. Only reason I'm selling is I'm trying to finish my supra and need the money to do so. There is a lot of money and time invested in this around 16k with out the car or the sti seats. The car runs incredibly strong and smooth. I got this car with no engine or transmission and the body is deffinately not perfect as shown in the pics. The jdm EJ20 version 6 swap was $4800 and once I got it in and running I noticed a rod knock so I removed the engine since a rebuild was going to be needed. I decided to go larger with a EJ25(STI) block with new STI pistons, bearings, headbolts, oil pump, gasket kit and used the 2.0 heads so this is a deffinate torque monster with the VF22 ball bearing turbo and the added displacement. The new engine has only about 2500 miles so far on it and and had oil changed after first 3 heat cycles. Engine was put in when the car had 126000 miles and the JDM cluster read 98345 KM but this engine has only 2500 miles on it! Aftermarket items include; ACT streetlight flywheel, EXEDY stage 1 clutch, aluminum radiator, GT SPEC tubular exhaust manifold with up pipe, Seibon carbon fiber hood, Walbaro 255lph fuel pump, INDIVIDIA down pipe and full 3" exhaust system, Gimmick turbo inlet, HKS mushroom air filter, Optima red top battery, Gimmick lower temp thermostat, rear anti-swaybar, WRX front brakes, Perrin manual boost controler set at 14 psi, OBX boost gauge, AEM wide band air fuel ratio gauge, Torque solutions shifter bushings and i'm sure some other things I'm forgetting. This is an extremely involved swap being that the entire wiring harness from headlight to taillights were replaced with JDM version 6 wiring harness and fuse boxes which is why ECS performance charges $4500 labor to do it. The clutch master cylinder is new from subaru and the right rear knuckle, bearing and hub is also new from subaru. Also the front drivers wheel bearing is new. Buyer must be aware that there are no aribags hooked up in this car but they are in place. I got this car running incredibly great and the few things left to do is body work, foglights, replace upper ac line and recharge. The car just got aligned and drives straight. It does have new winter tires on it all around on enkei wheels. I did put in the front and rear seats from a 2006 STI. Buyer is resopnsible for shipping and local are welcome to come see in person.
