Stunning color combination of Stone Gray with a black top, beige leather seats and Oatmeal carpet. The Convertible D has all the beauty of the Speedster, with the civilized addition of roll up windows. That and the windshield being 1.5 inches higher are the major differences between the two cars. The “D” was only made for one model year, which makes it a very rare and collectible car. Has had new paint and engine rebuild in the last few months just to make sure it looks terrific, but it hardly needed that as it won best in class at the 2009 Indiana 356 East Coast Holiday. Numerous “Best in Show” awards at regional PCA and other shows. It has always been a head turner. The car looks so good it has been accused of being a trailer queen, but I have driven it all over the east coast. Numbers matching, as attested to by the Certificate of Authenticity. This car left the factory in Meissen Blue paint, but was later changed to Stone Gray which is a model year correct factory color. VIN 86439 - Engine# 74347 Type 616/1?- Transmission # 23676 Type 644 BBAB The car has been given a slight GT look. It has a louvered engine deck lid, GT bumper trim, no side spears, no bumper guards, and hot-looking Techno Mag wheels. These are the second generation wheels, which weigh about 9.5 pounds each. The original engine deck lid also comes with the car. Upgrades include the Leoni headlight and starter relays and Bosch H4 headlights. It left the factory with a Normal engine, but has been upgraded to Super specs. I have owned and enjoyed the car since 2005 driving it over 25000 miles during that time.
