Over $90,000 invested, every component of the car was completely disassembled and media blasted prior to reassembly. It would be impossible to list everything done to this car. This description is merely the highest points of interest. No expense was spared in the restoration of this vehicle and every component is in factory new condition. You will not find a finer 1968 restored charger anywhere! A great deal of pride was taken in restoring this vehicle. The restoration process took 6 years, but was well worth the time invested in it. The body was professionally painted factory Turbine Bronze Metallic. The top is black vinyl also new. This car has never been hit or suffered any damage from rust. And is super straight. All of the chrome has been replaced, including the wheelhouse moldings, turn signal bezels both side and rear, front and rear bumpers, front grille and perfectly working hide away headlights. All of the exterior glass has been replaced, except for the front wing windows, which remain in perfect condition. The interior floor and firewall of the vehicle was stripped of the factory undercoating and sprayed with a high quality black urethane. All brake lines were replaced with braided stainless steel lines. The factory drum brakes were refurbished and retained. The rear frame is an S&W 4-link and has chrome 4 - link bars, pan hard bar, shock mounts and Strange single adjustable coil covers. The rear end housing is the factory 8 & 3/4, which was narrowed and fitted with Strange 30-spline axles, 4:56 Richmond gears on an Auburn posi, Mark Williams bearing caps and adjusters. Custom 3" tube, .083 wall drive shaft with 1350joints. The undercarriage of this car is new. You could not go into a showroom anywhere and look at a brand new car and find an undercarriage as clean and new looking as this car. It is as beautiful on the bottom as it is on the top. The engine compartment has also been painted factory Turbine Bronze Metallic to match the exterior. The engine compartment paint includes a base coat and a clear coat and is super clean. The engine is a 440, 30 over Big Block Dodge. Forged TRW 10.75:1 pistons, factory crankshaft & rods, Stage V Chrysler cylinder heads, Engle Hyd camshaft (.517 lift, 282 duration, 108 lobe center), Edelbrock Torker intake with a Holley 830cfm carb. MSD 6 al ignition box, MSD billet distributor and spark plug wires. The exhaust system consists of a 1 & 7/8 Hooker Super Comp headers, 3" tubing and 40 series Flowmaster mufflers that were all coated by Jet Hot. The transmission is a completely rebuilt A8333, 4 speed manual with a Lakewood bell housing and a Hayes 11" clutch assembly. The newly restored interior is black. The restoration includes new headliner, carpet, seats and door panels. The dash plates were also refurbished by Mr G's and all of the dash light bulbs were replaced at that time as well as the dash lenses buffed clear and new original gauge decals installed making the dash look brand new and never driven. The car retains all of the factory gauges, wiring and shifter. All of the gauges work perfectly including the factory original clock. The gauges work as they should and remain accurate. An 8 point roll bar was installed. All of the latches, strikers, brake booster and hood hinges were gold cad plated. The trunk was also newly re-carpeted and contains a 16 gallon RCI plastic fuel cell. A 140 GPH Mallory fuel pump and filter supply the -8AN braided stainless fuel line to the Mallory 2 port regulator. The front suspension has all new bushings, ball joints and QA1 shocks. All wheel clys, hardware and the drums are new. The wheels are Weld Racing Pro Stars, rears are 15x15 wrapped in 33x21.5 Mickey Thompson Sportsman’s. The front are 29x7.60 Moroso Drage Specials. NOS parts where used wherever possible. The car has been test driven under strict circumstances for no more than 30 miles since and during restoration. It has remained in a climate controlled garage on stands. This isn't a "Race Car". It is completely street legal, fully driveable and has power steering and brakes. I cannot emphasize enough that everything done to this vehicle was done to the highest standards available using the finest professionals in the industry today.
