1978 Porsche 911SC. Email me for my web link to more pictures and videos Priced to sell! This car has history, first year of the re-introduction of the SC model This is a sunroof Coupe. This car was in Austin Texas when I found it. I bought it last year. I bought this vehicle with the intention to do a V8 conversion on it, but it is too original. This car sat up for almost 10 years before I got it. The engine is in good shape mechanically, this car runs and drives. I replaced the clutch and the driver side rear wheel bearing and a host of other parts to make this car streetable again. The front seats have been covered in vinyl and the interior has no teares. The exterior needs painting because the paint is peeling from age and weather. Note: I am getting shipping quotes from different companies, $510.00 - $700.00 the ship as far as Carson California Please do not confuse the pictures of the peeling of the paint at the rear of the car as the care having had a rear engine fire. This car absolutely did not have an engine fire. This car is all there for a rare 1978. 1978 Porsche 911 SC History In 1978, Porsche introduced the new version of the 911, called the '911SC'. Porsche reintroduced the SC designation for the first time since the 356SC (as distinguished from the race engined 356 Carrera). There was no Carrera version of the 911SC. It featured a 3.0-liter engine with Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection and a 5-speed 915 transmission. Porsche broke away from using magnesium crankcases like in the late 2.0-, 2.2-, 2.4- and 2.7-liter engines.
