1962Ford Galaxie 2-Door Post. Original Black and White-292 V-8-3Speed Standard. Radio delete, rubber mat car. If you have a good F.E. 390-406 laying around That would work. Door tag reads. Body Color Trim Date/DSO Axle Trans 62B AM 21 195 6 1 It would make a Great Law Enforcement Car or 406 Car, or still be cool to leave the 292-3Speed, But I think it has stuck ring, not sure. I was planning on saving the 292-B-3 speed for a 50's Ford. My Opinion. Big Motor is the way to go 352-460. This old car is in very good shape for it's age all though some people are very picky, unpleasable and expect perfection. I would rather not deal with those kind, because it's unrestored, weathered and certainly not perfect. Rust is very Minimal. I pulled the seats and rubber mat to check out floors an only minor rust was found and repaired. I HAVE BILL OF SALE ONLY. Some States don't require titles on older vehicles, but some do. Therefore the simplest solution is a Title Bond through your insurance company. The car still has the original paint except for top, paint was almost down to metal. So I had the top sprayed with some white sealer, no repairs. Left quarter had a scrape from a riding lawnmower that was to close when it was pulled out of shed, we repaired that and sprayed the top with sealer. That is the only paint or body work that has ever been done. Frame is Solid, No rust through, just surface rust and dirt-easily blasted off. There is a little rust on a narrow section behind rear bumper where rubber seal goes. I have original seats- Front was recovered once- Usable but they would need to be redone.
