Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is my 1967 Ford Mustang coupe. A year and a half long professional frame-off restoration by The Mustang Shop was completed in July of 2011 and this car came out absolutely amazing. During the restoration, the already solid California project car was completely disassembled and any problem areas were properly replaced. The body is now completely straight and has no rust or Bondo anywhere. The exterior then received a thorough and exceptional clear-coat paint job of Indigo Ink blue with painted white stripes. The engine compartment was painted & detailed and the undercarriage was also coated. The interior was completely replaced and now wears the optional deluxe interior with parchment upholstery and aluminum door and dash inserts. The engine was completely replaced with a brand new Ford 302-4v V8 mated to a modern T5 manual transmission; both have less than 1000 miles on them since installation. A great deal of effort was made to address most areas that go overlooked many so-called “restored” cars, ensuring that investing in this car will be more economical in the long run and more time can be spent enjoying the car as opposed to tinkering with it. The car has been garage kept and meticulously maintained. The car runs perfectly and the interior and exterior are flawless. Some (by no means all) of the additions made to the car are listed below - over $50K was invested into this restoration. Also, a new, unopened custom fit Coverking SatinStretch brand car cover that retails for around $350 is included free for winning bidder. - Dynamat brand sound insulation/climate controlling mats throughout- Complete Grab-a-Trak brand suspension and handling kit- Randall P/S brand power rack and pinion steering kit- Stainless steel fuel lines throughout- Perfect Fit A/C brand custom air conditioning system that blows ice cold- USA Auto brand custom stock-look AM/FM stereo with iPod jack in glove box- Infinity Reference brand unobtrusive front and rear speakers- New windshield- All new chrome (bumpers, emblems, moldings and handles/knobs) in and out- TMI HumpHugger matching center console- Dark blue matching floor matts in front and back with embroidered Tri-Bar Pony emblem- All new weather-stripping - Fog light kit- LED sequential taillights- HID headlights- Chrome American Racing 17 inch Torq-Thrust M brand rims- Four new 17 inch 225/45 General Altimax HP all season tires - Four wheel disc brakes- 3-point safety belts- New Ford 5.0 High Output 302 V8 with Comp-Cams Nostalgia brand cam/lifter- Performance underdrive pulley- New Edelbrock brand model 1406 4V carburetor - Rebuilt T5 5-speed manual transmission- Ford 8.8 inch rear end with 3.73 gear ratios- Electronic MSD ignition- Scott Drake brand aluminum radiator - Flowmaster brand 40-series dual exhaust mufflers with all new pipes- Retrogauge brand in-dash stock looking 8K tachometer - ‘67 Shelby style fiberglass hood with correct scoop and hood pin kit Much planning went into this restoration prior to beginning it; the goal was to create a tasteful and mostly stock looking classic Mustang that drives like a modern car and has most of the safety features of modern cars. This car turns heads everywhere it goes and has won its class at both car shows it has been entered in since its July completion. The car is properly registered, insured and inspected in NY and is an absolute dream to drive, a beauty to see and it sounds like a vintage muscle car (without being obnoxious). It is also plenty quick; but has been babied and responsibly driven. I am proud to say that the car garnishes admiration from Mustang purists and RestoModders alike. Please feel free to contact me at JimmyC516@optonline.net with any questions as I have extensive and complete receipts for all of the parts added & work done as well as hundreds of photos and several videos of the car from before, during & after the restoration. I am happy to completely and honestly go over anything & everything about the car with potential buyers. A personal health issue (ending with a good result) necessitates my sale. I have set a VERY low reserve price. I will also arrange for professional shipping FREE to anywhere in the continental USA if the winning bidder utilizes the Buy it Now option (shipping usually runs around $1000). I have bought & sold vehicles on E-bay before and am therefore familiar with the process. Thanks for looking and good luck, -Jimmy
