The FIA GT3 European Championship is a racing series for teams using coupés that are closer to their road-car cousins. Since this is not a factory sponsored series, Apex Motorsport developed the stunning 2007 XKR model for use in the FIA GT3 European Championship.
Our 1997 XK8 pays tribute to the 2007 Jaguar GT3. It has a paint scheme that is representative of the GT3 car. The rear spoiler is also reminiscent of the one used on the race version. American Racing wheels and a lower billet front grill completes the image.
The 1997 XK8 was the first Jaguar to have a V8 engine under the hood. It is a 4.0-liter aluminum motor with twin overhead camshafts and four valves per cylinder putting out 290 HP. The 4.0-liter V8 launches the car to 70 mph in less than 7 seconds thanks to the low 0.35 drag coefficient. The smooth V8 engine is an absolute beauty--almost silent at idle but never louder than a muted growl which you would expect from an elegant feline such as this one.
It has a 5-speed automatic transmission, from the ZF Company in Germany. It’s console-mounted "J-gate," has a 2 leg shift layout permitting manual gear shifting when the lever is moved to the left-side slot. The car has Automatic Stability Control, which throttles back engine power to maintain traction during low-grip conditions. Other safety features include power four wheel disc brakes with dual ABS and front /side air bags. XK8’s deliver a rewarding experience on back roads and a smooth ride anywhere else –feeling firm yet absorbing any road harshness.
Our car is loaded with features such as power steering with tilt, power brakes, power windows, power locks, and power mirrors. It has the original am/fm cassette with 6 disc trunk mounted CD player. The air conditioned interior is trimmed in a rich polished burled walnut and the power seats are covered in soft leather.
This car has been in our collection for since 2008 and not driven, only repositioned on our lot.. It is a 14 year old car with 140,000 miles on the odometer. While it is running and is mechanically sound with no known problems, we recommend a full mechanical inspection before driving long distances.
This car has a clean Car Fax and clear title.

for long trips. We recommend a full mechanical inspection before taking them on
the road.
We do our best to describe our vehicles accurately and
include numerous photographs but small
defects don't always show in pictures. Any
known or visible defects at the time of listing will be stated in the vehicle
description. Classic and vintage vehicles
usually will require sorting out. Please do your research before bidding as all of our cars are sold “as is”.
We welcome you having an independent inspection BEFORE buying but not after the auction
closes. Inspection at the time of pick up and attempts at subsequent
renegotiation will not be permitted and will be cause for forfeiture of the
deposit.
All cars are sold “where is” from our location in Culpeper
VA. Transportation is the responsibility of the buyer. We use Eclipse Auto Transport for all of our transport needs
and suggest you contact them at 800-496-0881 for
a competitive quote.
A deposit of $500 is required 24 hours after the auction
closes.
