I'm listing this car for my Dad so this is what he wrote : " For sale is the car I drove everyday to work till last week . It was my company car that I purchase from GE at the end of the lease . The car starts , runs and drives excellent with not known problems as far as I know . It was serviced since new by the VW dealer in Florida and in NY since I got it . It has a new ($5,900) updated tiptronic 6 speed auto transmission installed by the VW dealer ( all VW's had tranny problems , so ask sellers before you buy a VW if the tranny was updated or rebuilt , or it will cost you big , sooner or later ) . Also many parts were replaced as part of the "by the book" maintenance schedule by my company or by the factory warranty , like recently : new timing belt , rollers , water pump . New : turbocharger , starter , glow plugs , cooling fan , new shocks , new battery , injection service , radiator service , we always used synthetic oil 5w40 Mobil 1 , new air and fuel filters , etc , I have all records for the maintenance history and as you can see no " if 's or but's " excuses were accepted when maintenance was required . Tires have a 85% thread . Interior is in good condition with some wear and tear , like headliner is sagging a little in the back , arm rest is loose . Air bag light is on and it always was like that since I got the car a year ago ,I never bother about it , but I took the car to my VW mechanic today and he plugged the scanner on the car computer and it read "seatbelt" code , he said it probably needs a new seatbelt buckle, the most common cause of an airbag light on VW's or the under seat plastic plug or a stupid thing like that , nothing wrong with the air bag system . He cleared the code , I drove it home and when I start playing with the seat belt , plugging and unplugging the light came on again , verifying the diagnostic , a new seat belt is around $50-$75 on Ebay . Power door lock sometimes locks or not from the key remote but you still can lock it manually with the key if it doesn't . Trunk needs lift shocks , all small stuff , normal for a daily driver vehicle . Now the good part : the car runs beautiful , smooth , no shaking , pulling or smoking . it doesn't leak oil or burn oil . It goes 600 miles with a tank of diesel or around 40 MPG , ideal car to commute to work or college . New Transmission shifts as it should , A/C is freezing cold , and the heat is working excellent . The bug has heated leather seats and mirrors , power sunroof , all power options as PW , PL , power mirrors , alarm ,cruise control , rear glass defrost , remote trunk release , premium sound -CD-radio , tinted windows , front and side air bags , Factory alarm , premium wheels , etc . New factory blue metallic paint job done before car was lease returned ( title say color is yellow and it will need to be corrected by new owner at his local DMV , no big deal ) . I'm selling because my son left me a 2010 Toyota Yaris to use , so even the TDI is awesome car to drive , it has to go , my loss - your gain . Clear title in hand . Car is used and it is sold " AS IS " with no warranty or guarantees . Sale final . No refunds , no returns and no adjustments . Inspection is welcome and encouraged before you buy it . $150 will be added to final price for paperwork fees unless car is purchased locally or off Ebay and in cash at time of pick up during banking hours only , cashier's check must clear before car is picked up , no exemptions .
