Vehicle Detail

Welcome to my auction! Today you are bidding on Mom's 1997 Saturn SL2 for Parts or Repair. Description: Mom accidentally hit the wall of the building in front of her. Her car suffered damage to the plastic fenders, the front bumper, the grille, the left headlight and turn signal, and the metal hood. After her mechanic declared the car mechanically sound, no damage to the A/C, Radiator, Engine, or Drive Train, I drove the car home from the service station. As mom will not be driving anymore, rather than repairing the car, we are selling it for parts, or to be repaired. The 16 valve, high-end engine and transmission are in excellent shape. The car drives flawlessly. The brakes are only about a month old. The interior of the car is in good shape. The seats are comfortable, and have no worn spots. Mom often skuffed the curb parking using the braille method, so the aluminum alloy wheels show some rough spots. These could be made more presentable by touching them up with a hammer, a file, and some time under a wire brush. If I needed to replace my car, I would repair this for myself. I am located in Burlington, New Jersey. Transportation is up to you. With the repair of at least the driver's side headlight and a make-shift front licenseplate holder, this car could be driven from here. Please buy this car. My husband is already eyeing it, and I do not want him getting hold to it. He feels it would look great just as it is, with a matte flat black paint finish. Methinks he's seen Mad Max too often... On Mar-02-12 at 10:31:00 PST, seller added the following information: I've been asked for more pictures, and as to the condition of the broken parts in the back seat. I have taken many more photos. These photos detail the extent of the damage to the front bumper, fenders, and driver's side headlight. They document the undamaged condition of the cooling system radiator, of the A/C condensor, and of the undercarraige in general. Finally, the following are links to two videos of the car in motion, including one with hard acceleration and hard braking. It is as clearly demonstrated as I can make it, that the braking system, the drive train, and the car as a whole, are largely in working order. These are large files and may take a minute to load.
