Beautiful car owned by a small town dentist in West Virginia. Garaged and covered all it's life. Special ordered from Mercedes Benz, Stuttgart with a red top, white body and blue interior to celebrate our Bicentennial. This is the only one known to us in this color scheme. The car is extrememly clean and shows very little wear. It starts, runs, and drives just as it did when it was new. The car is all original with the exception of an aftermarket radio installed when it was nearly new. The original radio may be hidden away in the garage. The passenger front fender was repainted after being scratched about 30 years ago....the color match is perfect. There are a couple of flaked spots behind the front wheels that have been touched up at one time...see photos. At 60K miles, the drivetrain is barely broken in. These cars are capable of going hundreds of thousands of miles without issues. The paint is original and has some weathering, but has been waxed and cared for all it's life. All the original manuals and data plate are included. The jute padding in the seats is a little crunchy and could be restored if the car is to be driven regularly. The tires are dry, but are drivable. The toolkit is not pictured, but is also included with the sale. I will add photos of the engine bay later as the auction progresses. Please note, interior photo was altered due to the sunlight. The interior is NOT faded or discolored in any way but still the original blue color throughout! This would be a great car for a collection due to the rarity of this color scheme. This is a no reserve auction. The final bid will be the selling price. I am not a dealer, so there will be no warranties. The buyer is responsible for arranging shipment, or picking up the vehicle in person. A PayPal deposit of $500 is required within 5 hours of the auction end and is non refundable if the car is not picked up within 2 weeks of the auction ending. The car will then be offered to the second highest bidder. Cash payment in full is required before the car is released to the new owner or carrier.
