1989 PORSCHE 911 FACTORY WIDEBODY CABRIOLET (M491) !!! Relisting due to Non paying overseas party. Please bid or inquire about this vehicle only if you want to buy it and you can afford it... So one more time: 1989 Porsche 911 Factory Widebody Convertible ( Opt. M491). Coral Rose Metallic Exterior over Cognac leather Interior. 69000 Miles and 4 Owner. No known accident history. I have the clean Carfax (will provide at request) and ebay provides the perfect Autocheck. Last year of the G-Model and one of only 65 M491 Cabriolets built in 1989 !!! Matching numbers on engine and G50 Gearbox. Factory Turbobrakes !!! This Porsche starts, runs, and drives without issues... But it needs some work. It was retired in 2003 or 2004 and was not properly stored. There is some water damage on the inside and the interior needs to be replaced or recovered. It was never in a flood or completely under water. It was just sitting with the top open outside for some time and got rain on the seats and the floor. No saltwater was involved at anytime The power top and windows do not work, It looks like the window switches need to be replaced and both folding top locking motors need replacement too. The power seats are not working due to water damage in the switches. All Gauges work properly, but do have some surface rust on the rings. The ventilation system (both blower fans at all levels) works properly, without issues. The AC comes on, but does not get cold, the pressure in the system is too low. There is no water damage in the trunk or in the engine compartement. Engine and transmission are performing properly, without any issues. The carpet might need replacement, and the floor carpet is missing. The floor mats are there. All Body panels are original and there is no rust underneath or in the doorjambs. The lower windshield portion has some rust damage on the rubber, that might need attention. Other than that there is no rust on any bodypart. Just some surface rust on the torsion bar covers and the mounting nuts of the wiper system (the cowl holes are fine). The Exterior is in good shape. No dents, dings or major scratches. Some touch up at on the hood and some paint fading on certain spots... But nothing major. With some effort this factory widebody will be one very nice example !!! I did not clean anything or tried to cover soemthing up. The car is undetailed exept for a carwash, some vacuuming and wiping the leather of. With investing around 4-6k you will have a very nice example of an 89 Widebody... (Try to find one for sale. If so you will have to spent $60k and up) 1989 was the last year of the factory widebody. These cars do have all the options the Turbo has including the 917 brakes, except the Turbo engine. The Models 1987-1989 were also equiped with the bullet proof G50 5 Speed gearbox. A limited number 15 Coupes, 15 Targa and 65 convertibles were built as the factory widebody in 1989. This makes it to one of the rarest Porsche ever produced. Again: This genuine Factory widebody is not a concourse car or a show winner. It's a nice driver that shows pretty good if you consider the age of 23 years. Pre-purchase inspections are welcome and encouraged. Bring your Mechanic, Appraiser or arrange an inspection with Porsche of Naples or Fort Myers.... Export is ok. I can arrange world wide shipping.
