1990 Chevy 4x4 Stepside 3" body lift..... The good: Motor (Recently replaced) No smoke, no knocks, or ticks of any kind. Trans and transfer case are perfect!The exhaust is all out the tail pipe, but has no convertor and runs through a glass-pack muffler sounds great! The brakes are strong, but I have know idea what the pads and drum brake lining looks like, but no noise no foot pedal jumping around (rotors aren't warped) New water pump and thermostat,Tires are 20% I'm including (4) (Goodyear Wranglers 40-50 % decent) has had rockers and cab corner on drivers side replace with metal. Novice work but ok. The bad : Issues includes: Searches for idle when first started. Lopes until it warms up. Sits and runs perfect after initial warm up, but occasionally sputters and dies. Always starts back up(new starter good battery). It may not do it again or may do it several times. Has sputtered and died at a stop sign, but restarted, searches for an idle then runs perfect again! I can't afford $125.00 an hour to have Chevy garage look at it. If your a mechanic good luck! More issues: include heater has an extra wire to turn it on ( not run through original wiring) Hot wired to battery thus bypassing the original wiring. The gas tank leaks under the front strap. Remedy Patch the hole.. I patched one in the back where the strap was (Good Job) but it needs rear gas tank strap. The floor and cab mounts are perfect (no rust) I consider the pictures part of the description.....The truck is drivable as is... I run it at 3/8 of a tank and it doesn't leak gas....at $4.00 per gallon I don't want to waste any "liquid Gold" I was going to fix it when it warmed up this spring, but I found an Elcamino I really like so, I'm selling the 4X4.
