As you can see by the many pictures this car needs some help, but everything is there except for some engine sheetmetal and the car can be driven home anywhere into the lower 48! Originally a signal orange 1.8 with appearance group and fuchs alloys, this car now has a single carb, and a front 916 look bumper. Purportedly it has a recently rebuilt engine (judge for yourself, compression is: and the bottom looks just too clean) New Bilstein gas rear shocks, 2.0 stainless steel heat exchangers, a vintage Blaupunkt cassette player and brand new tires. Someone was caring about this one! The car has been previously damaged on the right side having a right front fender installed with rivets and the rear quarter welded in. The front panel and front trunk are remarkably straight. The rear deck lid with duck tail spoiler has the usual rust at the lip as you can see in the picture. The paint is passable as is but a proper restoration would mean repainting it the original signal orange. All in all this is a rolling running restoration project and a great father son starter 914!
