1972 Hurst Olds Indy 500 Pace car. A 56,000 original mile beauty. I will do my best to describe the different aspects of this vehicle and what you should expect should you become its next owner. I have a complete owner history of this vehicle since brand new, and the buyer of the vehicle will be supplied with all of this information. I also have an extensive maintenance history since around 1993 when I first acquired this vehicle. One of 499 Hurst Olds Coupes produced in 1972, and one of only 220 with the factory sun roof. This was given to people when they toured the Lansing plant in 1972) Insurance letter to original owner Pre-delivery checklist Hurst sunroof instructions Original wallet for paperwork (silver panels on clear plastic) Exterior: Vehicle received one repaint in 1993. It had original paint at the time, but had fade on the roof and trunk, and needed new striping. I have detailed pictures of the vehicle before the repaint. It was very straight and all panels are original to the car. Hurst graphics were added to the car about 4 years ago. Chrome is all excellent, stainless is very nice (a few blemishes, but MINOR). No bondo that I know of or have discovered anywhere in the car. The paint has held up extremely well over the last 17 years. Underside of vehicle is very nice, with no evidence of any rust through anywhere. Trunk floor in the same condition with no rust, holes, etc... Vinyl top was replaced when painted with similar grain material. Interior: Nice and original seats (no tears), dash, headliner, console, trim, etc... Carpet is nice and may have been replaced once, I am honestly not sure. Has factory gauges, Power Locks and Windows, RARE power sunroof , AM-FM and 8-track, working converted AC, factory hood lock, tilt, Power Trunk, and dual gate shifter. All these accessories work as they should. Headliner in excellent shape. Drivetrain: Numbers matching drivetrain. No leaks. Starts right up, no smoke, no taps or unusual noises. Runs and drives straight, stops properly. Nicely detailed under the hood. Stock exhaust system is quiet. Power front disk brakes and ride and handling package. Tires are in very good shape with about 5k total miles on them. I encourage you to ask any questions before purchasing. I would also encourage a pre-inspection in person or by an appraiser.
