Entry Level Pomp and CircumstanceThat is how a colorful friend described this car to me upon first seeing it. The car is just super cool. It would be at home in the driveway of Clapton's castle in the UK or the Mcdonnalds in downtown Burbank. The factory aplied Vintage Gold paint shines just like new. The laquer is deep and clear and the metal flake is absolutely gorgeous in any light. The car's cosmetic apearance is truly beyond what anyone might hope for. "Stunning" "Alluring""Exquisite"...All words I have heard from people seeing this car for the first time. Even the gas station attendant commented on it. The interior was redone before I got the car, but was done with care and looks wonderful. The seats are comfortable and there is plenty of room for 4 or even 5. The carpet and headliner are pristine. All the wood trim is flawless. Yes, it is a great looking car... The real questions are.. How does it run? Is it dependable? What does it Need? Is there any rust? First of all the car is all stock except for the CD player. nothing wierd or unobtainable. Secondly, everything works. One of the rear power windows is a little slow, but other than that I can't find a problem. It starts right up easily with no hesitation or smoke. It does not drip any oil....None. It drives and stops perfectly. It pulls strong through all gears and has no problems at freeway speeds. all the windows seal well and there are no air leaks or water drips. There is no rust or cancer in the car. This is a vehicle that was in use, although limited use its whole life. It was not just rolled out of an old mans barn and polished up to look pretty for some pictures only to disintigrate 2 miles down the road. it was loved and serviced for every one of its low 97,467 original miles. The Benz needs nothing to be enjoyed today. Drive it home to wherever you live. So what makes this car so cool? if you don't already know, then I will tell you. The color.. Nobody makes this color anymore. Be original. The windows.. They open with no post or frame just a beautiful vacancy to let in the world. Sitting in this car, going nowhere just listing to music, is better than driving or owning any new car. I am starting the bidding low and the reserve is too. I expect the car to sell.
