This is a 1979 GMC short stepside pickup. 350 automatic, power steering, power brakes, air conditioning, tilt wheel. I bought this truck two years ago, it came from Alabama. It was parked in a garage from 1991 until the day I removed it. I didn't try and start it, I went to the auto parts store and bought oil, oil filter, plugs, wires, cap and button, all filters, heater hoses, radiator hoses, and antifreeze. We pulled the carburator and the distributor and rebuilt both. We pumped the oil pressure before staring it. Then wala! she fired up. It puffed smoke when it first started and and every time after, so we removed the valve covers and installed new valve guide seals and valve cover gaskets. That stopped the smoke! The truck starts perfectly every time with just a tap on the gas. All lights work including reverse. I put Flowmaster mufflers with 2 1/4 tail pipes, it has a nice sound! The truck has the original black paint on it, yes thats right original! It has surface rust on the tops and only one rust hole in the right front fender(see pictures). The right rear fender has some damage on it, it is repairable. Other that that a few dings here and threre. Where can you find a 79 with no rust, original rockers, cab corners etc no rust holes! The interior is all original except for the Pioneer super tuner that works! The interior needs repair as you would expect. The wheels are the original 8" ralleys that have been painted with new trim rings and center caps installed. The rear tires are new 275x60x15 the front are 235x75x15 they are in ok shape. I installed 2" drop front spindles and a flip kit with shock extenders on the rear. I also installed new front headlamp bezels the tube grille was already on it. Please ask questions I will answer them. Overall the truck runs and drives great, fly in drive it home Please ask you mom or whom ever is incharge of your money before you bid.
