I am selling my 1966 VW Beetle. The car was painted by the previous owner in its original color. The paint looks good has has a nice shine from 10 feet away, it looks great going down the road. As you get closer you can see some imperfections, there are a few chips in the paint. The body is very straight, the roof is almost perfect, doors are straight, not dings or dents. The sunroof is original crank which works properly and doesn't leak. The fenders have a couple of small dents and the rear trunk as well. There is NO RUST on the body whatsoever! The only rust is found in the common area, the floor, which needs to be replaced or fixed. The carpet has been taken out of it. The seats are in good shape as well as the rest of the interior. Original radio works as well as the electric. I purchased the car last year from Connecticut, two hours away and drove the car home without issues. Now it doesn't want to idle properly, but it can be driven as long as the rpm is maintained. I suspect the carb may need to be adjusted or rebuild. I have the rebuild kit for it and it is included with the sale. Transmission is good, clutch is good, brakes are good as well. The engine is a later model 1600cc and has a new exhaust installed last year. Also new rims and tires were installed, they are Chevy 5 lug with adapters. I wanted to restore it but now I need to make room in the garage for another car I purchased. The car is also listed for sale locally and auction may be closed before it ends. Happy bidding. Also, the only 'problem' area on the body is with the fenders, in particular where the holes are through which the rear bumper mounted. The engine compartment as well as the engine are clean.
